  1. Just had a thought...the JCB 3220 is going to win this every time!
  2. Haha...couldn't do that with a Universal Hobbies!
  3. I have to say I prefer the look of the SQ on the county. It seemed to me though that the existing Britains Q roofs would fit that cab (the repro one I used recently fitted straight onto a 1884). But I guess they had stopped using that mould and compared to the colours they came in , a minor issue!.
  4. Sorry Ricky, I don't really have the time...besides you could easily make one
  5. Steering county axle is still destined for the FC1174 (which is still getting there...slowly ) This axle is the Deutz Bayern, but with the 'hubs' mounted on top of the axle and attached in a similar fashion to the original, but with longer nails instead of the original screws...like a high rise kit but in reverse I think it looks ok, about as close as i could get without scratch building another....which I never will i just wanted this one finished so off the shelf parts it was. Next time I'm seriously considering the Siku TW model with a bit of grinding to the mudguards as the base, the front chassis shape seems a lot better suited.
  6. Nothing stuck...again Few deep ruts in some of the potato fields though
  7. Of course aficionados have by now realised that the wheels are wrong, having only 8 studs...maybe next time I'll use those from a Fendt 818, but then the Bayerns were cheap and came in white Something I may do in the future is cut circles out of plastic-card and mount them over the rims.
  8. This is something that has been on the go for a while, it started life as a battered 1884 with a smashed cab and a cracked bonnet (although it is no longer on the powerfarm chassis). Still some work to do, the cab roof needs to be painted properly and I will add lights, mirrors etc. when I get round to ordering some. The rear linkage is missing one of the blue arms, but I'm sure it'll turn up.
  9. Nice picture Bas...I remember duals being dicussed on here before, seemed to be a divided answer \ Interesting power war going on with the SPFHs, is it Krone and Claas with the two engine designs and NH opting for one massive one?
  10. I wish Mart we have a 160cm ish wooden picket style fence to try and keep out intruders , the problem is my tripod won't go high enough and because it would have to be set back a bit, it would always get the fence in the shot...so I have to use the tops of the fence posts, but if you place the camera flat, it points too high as the field slops away, so it's fine for the big field (like one in the maize photos) but you kind of need to use it like a monopod to pivot the camera down on for this field. Also in high winds the fence moves, so high degree of failure occurs, I wish i could use the tripod as it would allow me to pan smoothly.
  11. All this talk of night work and then this happens Fields previously used for silage, last seen being sprayed by the John Deere. Ploughed a week ago, and now have been planted with something...is it most likely a cereal? I'm bored of grass Such a dark night as well, I wish that harvest moon was with us, it was so difficult to get it bright enough to see the tractor without the lights flaring up and hiding everything :'(
  12. Not in this case Rich, they cut round all three and then started cutting to one nearest the farm. The furthest field has it's own road access, if you see my video http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=18130.new#new , you can see them come in the top via this road (like the fendt is doing) and then go out to the right, towards the farm, through the fields.
  13. I'm finding it near impossible if it is a really dark night and the only light is the machine, tends to flare a bit
  14. Wasn't there only one built with that roof, the British Steel one? Did it ever have front weights?
  15. County 1184 doing some logging...got to catch this one in action
  16. Cheers everyone...maybe there won''t be many more harvests, some developer is applying for planning permission on the lower fields :'( They opened up three fields though I can see one of the pits from here (has a Fendt 716 going up and down at the moment:D) and they definitely had crop going in before sunday and continously during the week until they came back...I'm a bit puzzled. I can understand holding off on the hilly field for it to dry for a few days maybe (in the last few photos the Krone did start to slip sideways ) but not the others
  17. Thursday, still going. Never seen this field harvested up and down before, last time they did it across, looks safer this way. Fine selection of the farm's tractors, NH, Fendt, Case and John Deere.
  18. Moving on to wednesday evening, they came back with the Big X to cut the crop
