  1. I remember some time ago we had a thread about how many tractors you'd seen working in a field at once (now standing at 2,141 but that wasn't real work ) - i think the most I'd seen then was 3, maybe 4 at a push....well today it was 7 (if you count a merlo) but it was impossible to get them all into the same photograph Anyway, on with the photographs On a ride around the lanes the other day, I saw this; this was very interesting.....
  2. Ah, I did, I just uploaded 3991 twice and not 3993, hence the 3991-1 The nose of the tractor is just not as sharp
  3. When you have rims that deep and narrow in diameter, how do you get to the wheelnuts and then apply enough leverage to remove them?
  4. That field is pretty much an island on a river:), we've had about a week without notable rain
  5. I'm glad a quick remark on John deeres is more interesting than 8 pictures of a fendt, please ignore the original thread and carry on as you like
  6. Everythings been pretty quiet down here on the few weekends I've been home but this week things have started getting busy, paddocks are being rolled, dung is being flung and they are starting to get out on the land. Fendt has deffinatly taken over, replacing the John Deeres as they wear out, one or two smaller MF and JDs remain for general work it seems. Spotted this working in a tiny field (great for me with a camera, it would go round every 30 seconds!)
  7. Gets around a bit! well spotted again, wonder if it has got new boots by now?

wow looks like you found a portal back to the 1980s in those woods! Great to see countys still being used day to day and great pictures
  9. It'll just go to eg. 17/67 - so we have at least 50 years in it which is more than twice that of the last system
  10. build one! Connect two T8040s together, ebay will be yours!
  11. Same here, can't wait to see them though
  12. Converters All that effort and the decal isn't straight, I just don't understand
  13. I think I may have tried it when the glazing went wrong on this. If I remember correctly, the Britains roof is a bit too narrow and the frame wound never fit a britains floor pan.
  14. Forgot to add - I tried glazing the cab and gave up, very curvy, might be able to do it now though. The rears appear to stick out a fair bit on the real thing, I think that is why i didn't shorten the axles in the end.
  15. This was one of my first attempts at changing a tractor...some of its a bit shoddy, it may be revisited after it decides if it is a Ford or a NH. Track is the same front and rear
  16. I just had a quick look at it again and I did it a bit differently to how i remembered - I cut the stubs off the wheels, not the axles. Just got to resize the pics, one moment.
  17. I had to cut down the axle stubs when I put Siku wheels on mine, makes it look so much better though! What were they thinking with the original fronts?
  18. Ah... Well it would be finished by now if I hadn't tried to make side tanks! The technical drawings I have don't show them too well, working out the clearances of the front wheels is a bit of a catch 22 situation and now it seems that some of the tanks were different sizes After 4 attempts, I have gone for a front tank like the one I'm basing this one on - the next one will have side tanks The cab is very nearly complete, I need to find something to represent the driveshafts, springs and tube at the moment to allow steering and axle articulation. I now need to get everything ready to spray at the same time, dry days are rare so and other priorities....easter maybe :'(
  19. Ford Fw (but I'm ok with that one, its an old casting) As an example, JD 7020. Beneath the grill is a joint between the two main halves that does not exist on the real thing - http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=12305.0 IF cost was not an issue, I think a seperate casting of the frame would finish the models off much better. It seems to me that this gap is worse on some models than others - some of the Toyfarmers don't look quite as bad. On the MF 1800,1500,1505 it is not a promlem because the join is hidden beneath the grill
