Well googling "AT2" I found this site: http://www.4x4tyres.co.uk/advanced_search_result.php?finder=1&4=18&5=58&6=66. So much cheaper than QF, and more specialised to 4x4, though such choice is usually anathema to a ocd'er like me!
I did subscribe to http://www.l200.org.uk a few years back Barry, just need to dig out my old password.
205/80 R16 104s. Mostly on-road but I'd say 20-25% off-road
I need wheels for my wheels!
I've just measured the tread depth on my 4wd Mitsubishi L200 and one tyre is seriously worn, with two others nearing the 1.6mm minimum tread depth (so all four will probably need replacing).
Ideally I would love to buy two sets, one for winter and a summer pair, but my budget will not allow for that (a fully off-road set would be nice too but I can only dream at the moment).
Will a winter set survive hot summers ( ) or is it a better bet to get a set that will survive all seasons without excessive degredation?
There was a light blue and white one I think from a Super Value set, also with a manure spreader in white/blue, yellow baler and Ford 5610 (circa 1990). That would be the hardest to come by I imagine. A sky blue and white one appeared in 2006 (42327 farm set) about the same time as the orange one Tim describes, although I don't think either are particularly rare (and the orange one is still being produced by Britains).
How about having a series of different backgrounds like this but each representing a different season, with interchangeable machinery etc, you could get your mate to make a few of these.
Ah it's still there then? I saw such a shop using google street view but wasn't sure it was worth bothering with as the google photos are quite old. I'll give it a try next time I'm up then as Cardigan is much nearer to Newport than Haverfordwest. Thanks Paul.
Found it. I was staying about 5 miles north in Newport. Very nice area, but not many stores selling Britains or other 1:32 (which I was looking for). One chap selling some battered UH boxed models at the county showground suggested the farm co-op in Johnston, but they told me they weren't due to receive any until October. Good place to look at in future though.
Mattock, sledge hammer, gloves, trug, 2 bolsters, chain, d-shackle and some ear defenders from Withybush Showground car boot near Haverfordwest, one of the best car boots I've ever been to.
Good for confined spaces I'd have thought but isn't there an increased risk of tipping up on slopes like you get with swingtail 360s, as more of the weight shifts to the front?
