  1. nice pictures johny , with a goot step by step talk through as well ! # thank you for getting them posted for us
  2. passed by the other day tim & saw you'd cleared a fair bit of ground, nice pics mate 2wd's playing a main role ? years ago we only had 2wd's ! & seeing a 4wd playing a main roll was an oddity, seeing any 4wds were rare round here ! ;D
  3. looks a well beastie on those tyres , what did they come off ?
  4. well at leats you know she hasn't been completely beasted in the past , which probably points to how good condition she's in now. chap at castle cary has one & although it's not the prime mover any more he still wont sell his , it's his favourite , although the rest of the tractors are now all Fendt
  5. blimey rich , technology is really catching on down there isn't it ;D you got a wireless in that thing as well ? let me know what music you like as there's a bloke selling some country & western 8track cassettes down the market \ ;D looks a good buy though , bulletproof engines & proper hydraulics ,, still many as prime movers on many dairy farms i visit. got some good days for pics as well :)
  6. ooooh ! ;D seriously , lot of farmers i speak to are really unhappy with their new hollands & much prefered their older TM's & TSA's ? not that i know much about them either but many are going the JD & CLASS route . as for the UH models i do think it's poor that many models break just getting them out of the box
  7. carefull how you say that , it makes you sound like you know everything about it , at 17 i expect you have experienced those jobs , but not plenty of it , a little BS goes a long way but too much BS can drop you in it
  8. i wouldn't worry about it too much from what i've heard , bit's keep falling off the real New Hollands as well, so maybe UH have built it correctly as for promotional work, are NH giving away real tractors with every pair of overall sold ?
  9. certainly changed a bit since it started sean ! amazing the amount of work you've put into that whole display . quality mate
  10. i reckon we ought to slap yer legs for asking it's got to be done
  11. not a challenger mate , but once saw a VOLVO A25 4x4 (old type) 1992 ? up at Strencham sewage plant , & that was fitted with twistlocks for quick change of bodies & they were fitted with the pull out support legs, never had a camera & it was before camera phones & i didn't see the driver either , but it had a muck spreader & dump body on site but ast the time had a tanker fitted . not seen one since. as for hook loaders ? seen one fitted to a volvo A25 & a CAT 725
  12. second that mate , a fair time ago you actually came up with this hairbrained idea , & an excuse to by a tractor , fair play to you mate it's all working out now
  13. nice set up you have there , well done..............er..................... ................. john ?..................... ............lisa ?............ ............... ............? what ? \
  14. marvelous what filler & a paint pot of ford tractor blue & grey make it look in the distance isnt it , i too thought it was a stunner , but on closer inspection she'd been patched up & painted more than you'd think , all the same she's scrubbed up well & should keep going for a few more years yet ! credit to it's owner me thinks
  15. certainly is bill not quite the analogy i was thinking of mark , but tis true , i supose, as you prefer to phrase it,like a pig in the preverbial muck ;D
  16. um ? a mk1 landy under restoration very very tidy albeit touched up with a paintbrush 7810 not quite so tidy but still refusing to die a 390 , farmers said it's the most reliable tractor he's ever had , & hasn't put a spanner near it hmmmm..................so it would seem ;D
  17. did some chain harrowing last weekend for a neighbour & thought the 168 looked so much better with the painted wheels & grill , it didn't improve the handing or give it an increase in power, but the sun was out , i had authentic air con & the views were lovely & i was in a world of my own i wont be chainharowing any of bills this year till the dung's on , as the fields are a bit horse sick & have been eaten down to tennis lawns
  18. going to get the 168 fueled up & go chain harrow a neighbours field a bit later
  19. does make you wonder why balfour dont just buy new holland any way , nice paint job by the way
  20. nice . thats pretty much how mines going to look ....................oneday \

    At work with Gav

awww gav yer making me feel homesick love to be back with the busyness of it all the banter & the kit working like it should , but looking at your destoner troubles , i don't miss the agrivation . re;markys stone removal should never remove the stones mate , sometimes its them that makes the ground workable , once been on a farm that removed stones from 30 or so acres , totally ruined the land & is now pretty much unworkable, rock hard in the sun, complete bog when it rains , no traction when it's damp. horrible, horible ,horible stuff, nowadays it's just linseed that gets broadcast on & dragged over
  23. sorry mate but apart from mirrors & flashing beacon missing from one of them i cant see a difference
