  1. Bang on there Stan, my dad used to have a yellow mid-tip one that he pulled with a 4000. He used it to pull beet in one of the steepest fields we have. There is a local fella who never stops going on about what a great sight he thought that was whenever he meets us! (guess who Colm )
  2. Suppose you were cutting a field and the wind was blowing straight up and down the way you were cutting, then youd be getting a faceful of dust at least half the time. And dont forget all the dust that can be blown on top of you when emptying into the trailer. They put the cabs on combines for a reason ie. to make them more comfortable. Its called progress, and progress cant be bad
  3. You'll say that until you spend a day choking on barley dust and the sun beating down on you, and spend a night trying to pick the chaff out of your hair!!
  4. that looks pretty good OF, if the top was lower it would be a dead ringer for a sheep feeder. If you were doing another one I'd say do it wider, because feeders tend to be a good bit bigger than the bale any way, usaully about 7 feet across
  5. Fantastic photos Stan. Ihave to say the TW15 is one of my favourite Fords from that era

  11. My guess is those tyres should come off the rims with a bit of gentle persuasion, as long as you've got strong fingers. Getting them back without damaging the paint could be the difficult part though, make sure the paint is well dried ie. leave it a couple of days. If in doubt just take the tyres off and put them on again to make sure you can do it easily.
  12. Crazy pit! Whay have they got a digger parked in the way??? ???
  13. Clunky is not always bad you know. I'd prefer a reassuring mechanical feel to something that was slow and/or vague.
  14. There seems to be. Not sure why but it could be to do with metric/imperial \
  15. Hey guys, does anyone know of a british website that sells Evergreen strip steyrene? I'm looking for 4mm angle because I've started a shed project with some that I got in a model shop in Dublin, but its been out of stock for several months despite the fact that I asked whether they could get it in. It has to be Evergreen because only they make angle in this size, which is in perfect proportion for this job. I've tried the mainstream suppliers like EMA and 4D but they only seem to stock Plastruct which comes in 3.2 and 4.8mm sizes. If anyone can help me with this I'd really appreciate it as this project has been stalled for months now and I really want to finish it off.
  16. That yoke is usually going so fast a photo would just come out as a blur
  17. Nice tractor Horrendous ploughing :o :o
  18. Not a big fan of Belarus myself, but it's certainly an unusual interest. Thanks for posting those pics.
  19. Beats me \. Theres no way you could asess the condition of a tractor without running it, maybe even doing a bit of work with it.
  20. After much head scratching and advice from forum members, I have succeeded in uploading a selection of photos from the vintage rally at the Harrow, Ferns that I was at a few weeks ago. The pictures can be found in my gallery here: http://www.farmtoysforum.com/gallery/index.php?cat=10022 The more interesting ones are commented but if ye want to ask any questions, fire ahead!
