  2. The styling is certainly extreme! :D I wonder about the rest of the baler ???
  3. Great job Gav . You should join the A-frame to the harrow with brackets and a top link because thats the way the real ones are mounted.
  4. Mmmmmm...Pigeons... :P :P I was mearly asking if he was aware the number was being broadcast on the web, in a jestfull manner if you take note of the smileys! As far as I'm aware it could be top secret, hence why I asked..... there is no need to take an aggressive approach to this matter, not on here anyway....... If its widely available it shouldn't be a problem should it?? As someone has already pointed out, people aren't always happy about there personnal info being broadcast on the net, if its on their website then he obviously doesn't mind does he?? If you want to be a moderator feel free to take my place mate, Its no skin of my teeth...... I've heard people critisise us moderators before and to be honest, if you want to give up your spare time for no recompense whatsoever then you can be one mate, I do this off my own back, I get no benefits, no payment, no perks, nothing...... We don't get the chance to win limited run models for our contributions, if we won a raffle you would be thinking it was a fix! Its not easy finding a balance between a stiff ar$ed anorack club like TTS and a place to have a bit of a laugh like we do on here..... Sometimes you don't always make the right call but thats life.... I've had a few bollockings off THE BOSS before now but thats all part and parcel of the role....... I am afterall a member like everyone else and from time to time I take off the gaurds uniform and become one of the inmates for a while, If I had to choose, I would be a normal member and let someone else have the hassle. I would suggest if you have not had express written permission to copy any details from any website onto another such as FTF that you don't for legal and copywright reasons.
  5. The only problem with scaling a wheel/tyre size exactly is that the model you put the wheels on may not have been scaled correctly in the first place. Sometimes you just have to use whatever looks 'right'.
  6. I see yours came out better than mine, but I'm going to stick what I have up in my gallery anyway.
  7. Dissapeared in the little gap in the space-time continuum we had yesterday :D
  8. Its probably done on percentage sugar, ie after a few years the percentage sugar in each ton of cane decreases. Thats the important one for sugar beet anyway
  9. I could have sworn it didnt say JD in the title when I looked at it! : :
  10. Not only the bonnet length, but also the depth Sean. Also the chassis clearly has engine side rails, wheras the 7810 had a 'stressed' block, and as such, no need for side rails. The problem is that if you reshape the bonnet to be in propotion to the real thing, it no longer covers the chassis properly. I have seen them done on DX4.70 chassis' as well, but the problem then seems to be that the cab and bonnet dont line up.
  11. GGG is right in a way, they do look a bit off, but I think it is because of the very rounded shoulder rather than the treads. They're more reminiscent of the old cross-ply tyres than the low profile radials you see on large tractors nowadays. They are 5 million percent better than the originals though!!
  12. Looks good Tris, get on and do those door handles etc and you'll be able to get in by yourself. Maybe you should consider steps as well though. And dont forget a radio to while away those long hours in the tractor seat ;D
  13. I have to say I agree Stan, plenty people have done a 7810 based on that model, and although it may look OK to the average person, any Ford fan will see the difference a mile off. Not to discourage you from doing it, each to his own after all, but it wont be 'special'.
  14. Cheers Nigel, was wondering about that
  15. Gosh, you really like those Bima's don't you?? :o great stuff, keep it coming
  16. Not every farmer can afford to have the exact right machine for every job, especially if its just for one day in the year, so lots of guys make do with what they have, turning machines to uses they weren't necessarily designed for. I see no reason why somebody couldn't adapt a forage wagon as a silage trailer, maybe to get a contractor to do first cut and do second cut with the wagon. Maybe theres no point in buying a trailer with silage sides for a very small amount of work. As regards the model itself, I get the feeling that guy used the pickup for something else like a trailed forager, and then converted the wagon to get some of the cost back? Not sucessful obviously
  17. Never mind the Fordson, whats that pulling the trailer in the first pics? I love the weather cab frame
  18. Needs a longer tank to get it spot on and fill up the space on the chassis. Other than that it looks a lot like the real thing. Not the kind of bowser I'd usually see around though
