Yeah white metal ones are useless. I made a County on a Siku base using them and now it spends its time gravitating towards the floor

Wow, thats ambitious! The C uses a different cab and a different chassis layout from the T series, so if you really want it accurate looking you'll have to think about those too.

They do it on the Polders to bring up the sandy silt base from below and bury the heavy clay/topsoil. This creates better soil conditions for growing root vegetables

Ha ha, thats a blast, you can't even spell thai! :D On the magaazine, I too have been a subscriber since the very first issue, and whether it goes under or not, I'll still be glad to have got them. However I think Julian would have been far better off bringing out a slimmed down issue when it was due, rather than stringing everyone along like this. Even if it was poor quality, it would have been better than nothing, and something to build on. By taking this approach I think he will have upset an awful lot more subscribers, and I think he's in for a shock when the main tranche of re-subscriptions comes around at Christmas/New Year, if the magazine survives that long. Personally I'm not hopeful. If a large and experienced company like Old Pond couldnt make a go of it, what chance has a small operator?

Compared to the original layout of two whole pages each and lots of 'working' photos, it's been slimmed down a lot, but then again there are more people writing in it now so you get more viewpoints. Maybe Rory could give us an idea of the thinking behind it?

The width you see there probably includes the exhaust cover, basically another pipe around the actual exhaust to stop you grabbing it and getting your fingers melted! Maybe they use bulk seed?

Before anyone gets worried, this isn't competition for FTF! A new forum was set up during the summer to discuss real farming issues, particularly Irish ones. It is located at forum.irishfarming.ie Unfortunately this forum hasnt taken off and has been pretty dead since it started. However it has not been very heavily advertised, and I thought some people on here may be interested in using it if they knew it existed, especially the Irish contingent. There is a similar forum that deals with British farming issues (not connected). I am not involved in the setting up or running of this forum, but I'd like to give it a chance before it gets consigned to the dustbin of internet history.

Yeah the agri spec ones usually dont have stabilisers, but sometimes theyre badged a different model number as well? I'll have a look anyway and see what I can find out

I'm surprised it went that high, tractors dont usually sell that well on ebay. Maybe the guy just wanted to advertise it, or else baulked at the fees!
