  1. Here are a few of my modded Fords. A modded up SIKU Ford 8830. A Ford 8210 & a Ford 7610 i got from Dave Towse. The 8210 & 8830 are my first & only try at doing conversions..
  2. To see this TW take shape. Go to the BRITAINS FARM MODELS page on this website under(Rebuilding an old Britains Ford TW-25.)
  3. I now have 2 Britains origanals & 2 modded examples. The Ford 8210 was my first ever custom model i done myself made from a Britains FORD 5610 (BIGGER WHEELED MODEL), followed by the modifed Siku 8830. But you still need an untouched origanal which is why i built this FORD TW to pair off with my other origanal Britains FORD 5610 (NARROW WHEELED MODEL). I have that 5610 since i was a child. I bought it almost 23 years ago. Even tough it was very inacurate & used a TW-20 casting ,i still loved it & kept her mint. The reason being cause my Uncle ran a SQ 6610 4WD on his farm & i spent lots of days in the summer months driving her.
  4. Here it is alongside my costomised Siku FORD 8830. The Britains model was more acurate in detail than the Siku one. The biggest mistake Siku made was the cab roof by not giving it the Super Q style roof. But on the upside it had more of a solid build than the Britains model. I could not bare the inacurate sight of the Siku FORD in my cabanet display ,so i decided to modify it 4 months ago.
  5. One minor change tough. This tractor is now a TW-25 & not an 8730 which it once was.
  6. Here she is. The finished product. As good as the day she left the box 18 years ago.o.
  7. Almost there now. All it needs is a touch up of paint & its decails.
  8. Some of the parts like the bonnet & cab had to be painted with the Revell Blue used on the casting. I also painted the front mudguards black. TW style! The origanal Britains blue was wrong on the mudguards..
  9. I then ordered & received the new parts needed from Dave Towse @ www.britainstoyfarm.co.uk. He is fantastic for all kinds of obsolete Britains tractor parts & quick to post on the parts needed for any conversion or rebuild. I got the decails, cab, roof, exhaust, bonnet & floorpan.
  10. I then cleaned & painted the good parts on the model such as steps, seat, rear hitch etc & used the wheels & stubs from the FIAT M-I60 which i painted with Revell gloss white #20. I then polished the tyres using Turtle Wax Black in a Flash.rubber cleaner.
  11. I then done some research on the Britains FORD TW & Series 30 models using David Pullens BRITAINS bible. It was handy to use as a reference for building this model.
  12. First i stripped all the useable parts and cleaned the casting. It has the 8730 style casting with the stub axel. The stub axel was never a good idea back in the day by Britains LTD due to the stub coming loose with play & wear. The older steel bar axel was better & more solid. So i then cleaned the casting & repainted it using Revell Gloss Blue#52.
  13. This is a wreck of an old Britains FORD 8730 i found in the parents attic. It belonged to my younger brothers quiet a while back. These models are making good money for a mint example. I always wanted to have a good Britains TW in my collection(Childhood mems) .So im going to rebuild this old thing. Im going to also use that FIAT M160 in the backround for donor parts considering i bought the better REPLICAGRI model and source the other missing parts from DAVE TOWSE...
  14. The wheels from a UH NH 6020 would look well under her also! The smaller TMs have that style wheel centre.
  15. Them wires are a f*** ing joke. At least with Siku its just held in place with cardboard or airoboard & UH use screws. Thrust Britains to do the stuipd thing as always!
  16. Rare classics there. That first pic ,the FORD 7095 ran the same engine (2715E) as the FORD 8100 id say. Are the 2 Ford 4wd up front County 4000 & 4600 FOURs?
  17. Yeah had that problem too a few times. Put it back in lukewarm again & it might straighten again. IF YOUR LUCKY!
  18. Waterslide can be tricky, but if your familiar with Airfix & Revell kits ,it should be second nature to ya!
  19. The more, the better lad!. Ill be there for a look anyway. Will MadforModels & Modelmania have stands there again this year? Just asking cause i have my eye one 2 or 3 models i must try and get!
  20. Very nice Paul. I what to do a TM155 myself with one of these Replicagri NH. I was going to modify a BRITAINS NH 8560, but just aswell i held off on it for this farbetter Replicagri model to appear. Guys were asking stuipd money for modifed Britains TMs at model shows in Ireland.
  21. Will UH do a MF 175 in 1/32 scale anytime soon? Just asking cause they have it in 1/16 already & 1/48 i think so like other previous models like PRE FORCE 5000 (its rival in its day)which they made in all 3 scales ,im hoping for a 1/32 MF 175! As for other releases by UH i quiet like the VALMET 705 & got my hands on there NH 6090. Its the best looking scale model NH tractor on the market today by a mile! Love it
  22. Another fine collection. Fairplay!
  23. Now that is a rare one. A 5700! : . They must have been very under powered. Same engine as a 5600. 68HP. Think about it! Its only 4HP more thana 4610 in that heavy platform.
