  1. Thats great ! Fairplay.Id love to display my lot there. But my only worry is young kids picking at them. I saw a young toddler run out the door with some poor guys model JD pluked of a diorma in Dunmanway.Luckly he got it back in one piece. I guess thats the chance you take.
  2. Ahh yes. I was there also last year. It was in September tough.Went ther to buy a UH Ford 7810 & NH 6020 from the Model Mania stand. Must put that in the diary again.
  3. Where is the show in Cork at the end of Aug? First i heard!
  4. Maybe your right! It could have been based on a switched off one. \A bit stuipd tough if they did base it thatway.
  5. Id steer clear of that Massey also. Seen one on the shop shelf & the cab was falling backwards. The roof just did not look level. It might have been damaged considering it was the only Massey left among the other Britains items. UH Masseys are that bit better in detail. Britains say its there best model to date. In my opoinon i dont think so. I have both the IH & Case alright. And they are fantastic. Well worth the getting a hold off.
  6. The IH 956XL , CASE 1056XL & the Kane Silage trailers are a big tumbs up from me. At last Britains are producing good stuff again. I have the 2 tractors i listed and cant wait for those trailers. Hope Britains keep producing 70's , 80's & 90's era classics that were common in Ireland & UK. Maybe a few 80's era JD's might arive next year that were in the 70 to 140 HP mark like 2140,3050 & 3350 etc plus a few more F0RDs or MFs.
  7. Dame nice models there. Did you use the new Britains IH 956 & Case 1056 models to convert for these beautys?
  8. Have an old Britains FORD 8830 in bad shape recovered from a box of junk in the attic, Only thing thats good on it is its 3 wheels ,no 4'th & its casting . Bonnet, cab etc broken. But not for long! Time to freshen her up. :) New parts on the way from TOWSE TRADING. It will have a new lease of life as a TW-25
  9. I have an old Britains FORD 8830 which i found at the bottom of a junk box in my parents attic. It belonged to my younger brother a nice while back. Its a pure wreck & i MEAN wreck! All its cab is cracked, its bonnet cracked,no exsaust, wheel missing & other 3 lose & its castings paint is marked & pealing. ! I have it stripped now, casting painted & all the new parts on the way from Dave Towse. It sould be as fresh as the day it left its box. Its also going to end up as a TW-25 & not a 8830. The plastic wheel studs on the rear will be the only giveaway as it will not have the steel wheelbar like the Britains TW-25 or 35. Call me a cheap skate, but a boxed TW is making almost £100+ on ebay. This will only cost me £25 ish. I will post pics of it ,as i build it soon.
  10. You got off to a great start. How many Claas harvesters have you got?
  11. Very nice. Plenty of Blue machines.
  12. With Britains realising the KANE trailers soon ,might mean these Marston trailers will no longer be produced by Britains. So snapping up a few of them Marstons now while they are still on shop shelves might not be a bad idea.
  13. I find Dave Towse (TOWSE TRADING) at britainstoyfarm.co.uk the best for spare parts and conversion decails . I have got stuff from him for my FORD conversions. I would not look anywere else to be honest. He deals on ebay also & is rated a topseller. He is also fast enough for sending you bits & bobs you order.
  14. I spose what id like to see the most is a few 3 cyl type FORDs in the 60 HP ish mark. The 4000,4600 etc are always overlooked even tough they were one of Fords best sellers in the UK & Ireland 30 to 40 years ago. The 5000 & 6600 no dought were the biggest sellers but only by very little against the 4000 & 4600. Britains well not make em anyway after doing the 5000 ,7000 & 7600 . UH being a French company wont ether. As for Siku NOT A HOPE. Replicagri maybe! Id also like a MF 165 ,175 or 188. UH might do a 175 in 1/32. After all they have it in 1/16 already!
  15. Its nice alright. Ive the M160. Got it at theTractorWorld show in Fermoy. I was looking for the 8560 but they sold out pretty fast. I was too late so i settled tor the M160. I bet any guy that bought a BRITAINS TM Conversion is kicking himself now!
  16. NOVEMBER! That long. AHH for the XMAS rush maybe
  17. A few DBs & old Zetor Crystals would be nice alright. A DB 995 or 996 would be class.
  18. With ya there. I think IMBER are going to produce the whole lot of the Ford 40 Series down the line. But youl be waiting quiet a while for the FORD 8340.
  19. Britains , Universal Hobbies & Replicagri are producing a lot of classics in 1/32 lately! And also some fine models of the more modern machines. Britains with there FORD 5000,7000,7600 & FW 30 & 60. The CASE 1056XL , IH 956XL & IH Snoopy plus lots of John Deeres. UH have the MF 35,135,590,3080 & 1200,FORD 7810 ,Pre Force 5000 & Fordson Major. Replicagri have classic FIAT tractors like the 110-90,160-90,180-90,880DT & 1300 Super. WEISE have there MB Tracs,Fendt & Deutz Models. There is always some classic due to be released from some model manufacturer. Which is what i love. SO PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT ON WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THESE MODEL MANUFACTURERS PRODUCE NEXT! I would like a few COUNTYS ,a few more FORDS & MASSEYS & a few 80's era JOHN DEERES like the 2140 & 3050 etc.
  20. I got a IH 956XL also today. Very good model for a Britains. I have been waiting 2 weeks for it to arrive. When i was buying the Case 1056 2 weeks ago the 956 was outa stock from my model dealer. So i orded it & im impressed with it.
  21. The oldest model i have is a Britains Ford 5610 which is 23 years old & in reasonably good nik. Second to that is my Britains Massey Ferguson 760 Combine also very good. Have them since i was a child. Saying that tough they aint my favourites. My IMBER FORD 5640 & the FORD 7610 2WD conversion i got from Dave Towse are my favourites. The Mad for Models FIAT 110-90 is also one of my nicest. :)
  22. They used 38s im sure on a lot of Beligan built 4600s cause unlike the Basilton UK built 4600s & 4000s which had 6 stud rare hubs ,the Beligan built 4600s with the Fritz cab had 8 stud hubs just like the bigger 5600s & 6600s which took the bigger 38s. Most 4600s sold in Ireland new had Fritzmer cabs which were more common here than the Ford Q cab on UK models. There was no noise regulations in Ireland back then in the late 70s & early 80s. So Fritz cab Beligan built Fords were very common here unlike the UK which had all Q cabs. If you think about it the County 4600 & 4000 FOURs also had big 38s.
  23. Yeah maybe so. But the wheel centres on the Pre Force are the type youd see on 4000s,4600s etc. The wheels on the Britains 5000 are too wide & are more suited to the 5000,7000,6600 & 7600.
