Ford 6600 with Fritzmeire Cab
justy 46 replied to Blue man's topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
They used 38s im sure on a lot of Beligan built 4600s cause unlike the Basilton UK built 4600s & 4000s which had 6 stud rare hubs ,the Beligan built 4600s with the Fritz cab had 8 stud hubs just like the bigger 5600s & 6600s which took the bigger 38s. Most 4600s sold in Ireland new had Fritzmer cabs which were more common here than the Ford Q cab on UK models. There was no noise regulations in Ireland back then in the late 70s & early 80s. So Fritz cab Beligan built Fords were very common here unlike the UK which had all Q cabs. If you think about it the County 4600 & 4000 FOURs also had big 38s. -
Ford 6600 with Fritzmeire Cab

Yeah maybe so. But the wheel centres on the Pre Force are the type youd see on 4000s,4600s etc. The wheels on the Britains 5000 are too wide & are more suited to the 5000,7000,6600 & 7600. -

Just thinking for a fritzmer cab, would you be better off trying to find an old Britains Deutz DX92 or 110 on ebay with a good cab & using its cab as your Fritzmer. Its the nearest thing in 1/32 scale to a fritzmer in my opinon. Im only saying this cause im thinking of doing a fritzmer cabbed Ford 4600. Using a shortened Britains 7600 casting,UH Ford 5000 Pre Force rear wheels & that Deutz cab. Im an Irish man myself and my old lad had a Fritz cabbed 4600 years ago. Childhood memorys. -
These models are fantastic. Its great to see 70's & 80's classics being produced. Must get the 1300 DT Super & the 880 DT. Maybe 2 or 3 of those IHs also.

Like it. Keep it BLUE anyways. Maybe double up or even triple on the working tractors if your going to have that much space to display.

Yeah id say UH have there red bang on in there Masseys. Ihave a UH 3080,135,1200 & 590 which look very well indeed. The Siku MF 5455 i have has a very dull red & dont realy look well longside the UH models both in detail & colour.I also have a Britains MF 1505 which is good enough ,but the Britains MF 3680 is ageing a bit so its colour is going to be crap & as for its cab WHAT WERE THEY THINKING BACK THEN. -
Yeah G&M Farm models have the Kane silage trailers up on there website for £15.50. Id say £38 is way of the mark!
-
Yeah Britains are releasing them alright. The silage trailers look very good. I think G&M farmmodels have pics of them.

Yeah yours looks better than the Massey i had seen that time last month. The Massey i had seen was damaged alright. Id say the mudguards were setting on the rear wheels. Just as well i never bought it. Britains are after improving there detail alot tough. I got a Case IH 1056XL during the week & its a very good model. A lot better than what i expected! The rear linkage on it is also a lot better than other prevous models from Britains. I found there linkages were set too far inwards beyond the rear wheels & attaching implements was a bit of a nightmare. Not on the Case IH tough! Cheers thanks for that Billy. -

Just wondering there Billy,is the Cab on that Britains Massey ment to fall back at the rear? I was going to buy one last month .But when i saw the top of the cab was not level,i tought it was damaged considering it was the last one on the shop self also. Is yours the same? -

I have 3 models on the way from Mad for Models. A Britains IH 956XL, Britains Case 1056XL & UH Massey 3080. I seem to be more into collecting classic 70s,80s & 90s era tractors in 1/32 scale. Its great that Britains & UH are producing old classics now. I must get some DBP Ford models also. The Ford 4600 & 8100 are on my wish list bigtime.
