Don't think we've had quite enough rain for that yet this year
:D

i'm waiting for one to appear at Claas Saxham on the front....still got the 580 there. The parts guy said they had sold around 12 to this area (East Anglia) so i'm hoping i'll see a few soon!
;D
They had a tracked 600 at cereals and i do know of at least 2 that have been sold locally here so you might not have to wait long although even the 580 you've seen will probably disappear soon into the demo fleet

Planning on growing rice as well as potatoes now are you Ben

nice pics gav!!, the 600 does look big
;D
the massey looks funny as you cant quite see the back end
:D
Thanks, it is a big beast when u stand next to it, needs a bigger header though, 9m isn't wide enough for it. I know the straw chopper will spread up to 12m so i think its a case of watch this space
-
it does look ok...
:)
heres a silly question, why are the tyres on different??, why not both the same way round
???
Only the tractor wheels are the drive wheels so need to be that way round for maximum grip, sprayer wheels aren't driven so are turned round to pull easier as far as i'm aware

Nice pics Gavin......Collect many brochures did you?
I had the same problem with folk at the Highland Show, blooming annoying eh......
Thanks, no no brochures this time, can get plenty when i go on parts runs now into the dealers so no need to
Try a wide angle lense
you can stand about 2 metres away then for tractors
Good suggestion but can't afford one of them
:D

i wish there were combines at the royal welsh show its all silage
Its the other way round here, that was on Manns stand who are basically Claas UK, the only remotely silage thing on there was a Unifarm mower and Roto-Cut baler. Wish there was a bit more grassland kit about there but thats the joy of a predominantly arable area

Take it this is the model in question
-
If you still need them i've now got the spec sheet to the 1174FC, if you want a clearer image let me know. Also have them to the 4600-FOUR, 6600-FOUR, 6700-FOUR, 7600-FOUR, 7700-FOUR, 774, 974 and 1184TW if anyone wants them
-
I know i have a full set of 1980's county leaflets as my late father sold them and i kept the leaflets afterwards, think i may have one on the early fc as well, will look as soon as i get a minute for you
-
I have a brochure somewhere, if i can find it i can photocopy it for you if thats any help to you. Is it the newer one or older one you want?

no2
Finishing early, parking up for the night and thinkiny "I know what, I'll try Gav's trick with the antenna tuning" only to find I have left my snips at home.
>
Don't you just hate it when that happens, oh and you'll need a damn good pair of snips to trim a twig, better off with a junior hacksaw
:D

Projectile wad of flem from a dirty b*****d in a muckaway tipper going in the oppoite direction hitting my windscreen right in the centre of my view.

How about making it a Major one?

2010 I think is when the defender as we know it will either be totally replaced or removed...might be a bit late
I hope they never end it, will be a sad day, no other vehicle could have the same character as the Defender and earlier models
-
used to have a rubix box & once you were used to it it was ok & faster, believe it or not than the H pattern column change ,& the H patern floor change & of course the middle sticks crash box , the range change / rev stick was a pain in all of them
matter of fact i'd rather have the rubix than any of the others but it's what you get used to i spose
I used to drive an H pattern column change 6610 and found it a pleasure to drive, only driven a rubix briefly, never again!!
-
oh yeah that & the broom handle in a bucket'o'bricks gearbox
That i will agree with, still was an improvement over the rubix box though
-
don't be too hard on them marky , they were good tractors & could have been great if it wasn't for the porus block issue
\
I haven't actually heard of any 7810's up this way that suffered from this, lots of 4 cylinder 10 series models but none with the 6 cylinder in it
-
i think about 90% of the ones over here are the clamp on type which put a lot of strain on the wheel rims so can't do the axles alot of good either
-
thats wierd you never hardly see a 8000 series deere over here with single wheels
nick
How are your duals fitted there, is it straight onto the axle? Think it's more to do with how we fit them than the duals they don't like
