  1. I'd stick with the box drill myself, we had a RPD402 where I used to work, it has since been replaced with a new one and also a RPD302. They're just so simple, theres sod all to go wrong with them and they do a good job. If you're on hills they are better than a pto driven air drill as with being driven independant of the tractor it makes no difference to seed flow if the revs die down, thats one of the reasons we ran the box drill
  2. Looking at another 18 months before its up for change at the minute unfortunately
  3. My 6920s now has diesel/electric problems on the engine as well as transmission noise >
  4. Some pictures from the store Herbert Grader and store conveyors feeding a Miedema elevator The other side of the shed is full to the front like this, potatoes are then covered in straw for frost protection
  5. We grow them big in Norfolk too.....Pentland Dell for McCains :o The soil should get up to the top of this first web but is too dry to hang together
  6. Well we finished yesterday but not before I got a few pictures to show just how dry it was while we were lifting. Everything is now washed down, put away and I have my 20.8 tyres back on.
  7. The cows deciding to stretch their legs 15 mins before home time when my colleague went in to feed them >
  8. Too right, never seen anyone dribbble so much at a model before :D
  9. I do have the plans here for the Lowlander 105 model that David and James gave me a while back, just need to find a spare minute to scale them down and start building
  10. The 6920s is once again showing signs of needing medical treatment, lots of drumming and vibration in the cab so got to have a crawl under it in the morning as we suspect the driveline between the transmission and the engine is at fault.......its a universal joint which wears and in the worst case if not spotted can fly apart damaging the transmission housing. Had the same joint go on the 6420s this time last year
  11. What you said at the time isn't repeatable on a family forum :D :D
  12. They aren't, never heard of them but the Monosem ones are :D :D
  13. Wiking Claas Axion Sulky Fertiliser spreader Agrisem Disc-o-sem Agrisem Cultiplow Pre ordered Ford 5640 SL 4wd Ford 5640 SL 2wd Ford 5640 SLE 4wd Ford 5640 SLE 2wd
  14. Just back, was good to see members old and new at the show. It was areally good show with some fantastic layouts The 40 series is something else, I've done the same trick as Tris with them and got one of each on order. Here's a couple of taster pictures for you until Marky posts his up. Everything with the 2wd version comes in the box with everyone so you can have either weights or linkage :o
  15. The variety is Pentland Dell on contract with McCains. The digger web is 1700mm wide and beds are 1500mm When its as dry as it is now I'm pushing the harvester at speeds up to 6kph, would be quicker still if it was a lighter crop and not so many stones going through it
  16. A few pictures from today. The first one is where there was a problem with the de-stoner, left a massive pile of stones on the bed spring time, wouldn't have done the harvester of the topper any good had I have hit them It takes 4 beds like this one to heap up a 14 ton trailer with as many spuds as I can get on it Good crop of spuds as well, shame I can't keep the soil in the digger web till the end of it as it acts as a cushion, its just too dry to stay in \
  17. Just because its fitted doesn't mean its always in use
  18. I think you'll find that the white tank is used for holding water that is sprayed on in the lifting share/web area to suppress dust for better visibility, could be wrong though
  19. Thats a big concern! Worst bit for our neighbour is that as there aren't many about all major parts are built to order so they have about 7-10 days to wait before it is up and running again. The trailed harvester is working overtime trying to keep up with outgoing loads at present
  20. Nice pictures Cerin That Grimme's a baby though. our neighbour has the 4 row self propelled model although it is currently dead after hitting something hard in the ground and bending the web frame and share frame, about £10,000 of damage :o
  21. I know.......its for transporting Barry's dinner tin :D
  22. I think the Knight is the favourite for us just on build quality and parts back up alone, we know the Berthoud will be the cheapest and will also give us the best trade in price for our existing one. John Deere is the unknown, I'd rather it was discounted because of parts prices, availability and it's a John Deere
  23. Best take the Landy if I've got to drive mate, big feet and small pedals are not a good combination :D
  24. That might not take too much in my case Simon as I hardly ever drink :D
