  12. Began collecting seriously again back in 2008, after selling off my carpet farming operation around ten years earlier. Initially I bought most general releases from the likes of Britains, Siku, Ertl, and Universal Hobbies. Then in 2011 I became disillusioned with the hobby, and the collection of mainly modern era tractors I'd amassed. I didn't feel like I had a true connection to my collection so decided to sell all of the modern era tractors, combines and foragers off, and focus mostly on collecting models of tractors I had fond childhood memories of from the eighties, and early to mid-nineties. The more model shows I attended around this time, the more fascinated I became with scratch built and custom converted models constructed by a wealth of talented model builders. Whilst I've zero talent or patience to build models myself I massively appreciate the work of others, and have tended to focus on purchasing these types of model for my collection with classic era general releases filling in the gaps. I enjoy displaying my collection out of their boxes in cabinets dedicated to individual manufacturers. With the odd exception my collection covers tractors and associated kit built between the 1960s and 1990s.
  13. Case IH Quadtrac 620 drilling oil seed rape on a murky drizzly day last August.
  14. Surprised we haven't seen a Mega from Replicagri yet. A pre-Vista cab version like this.
  15. Agreed, i'd love to see an early green belly Lexion like this 430, or a nice Evolution version like this 470. 🙂
  16. Lovely collection Jan. You've some fantastic models lined up there. Welcome to the forum.
  17. You're welcome Jan. Four models were part of Case IH's CT range, the CT5050, 5060, 5070, and 5080. They were produced between 2001 and 2005 following the formation of Case New Holland in 1999. Main difference aside from the cab roof, and slightly different panels was that the Case IH versions were powered by Cummins engines. Whilst the CT5050,5060, and 5070 are very rare, there's quite a few CT5080s at work in the UK.
  18. This one Jan. Part of the CT range based on the New Holland TX60 series and produced at the old MDW/Fortshritt factory. 🙂
  19. Massey Ferguson 5700 series tractor on display at the 2019 Yorkshire Agricultural Machinery Show.
  20. Brand new Massey Ferguson 6716S ploughing earlier this Spring. I photographed this tractor as part of a Classic Tractor Magazine feature I wrote on the career of Birdsall Estates tractor and sprayer operator Philip Nicholson.
