  1. Bootiful NH2 (to use a Norfolk saying). Unfortunately you are disqualified from the 'snowman' competition for using an artificial aid, ie a real tractor. ;D
  2. OK, but I think you cheat by sticking a Fergie out in the snow and allowing it to get covered so it shows the shape of a Fergie
  3. Nope, when I wallow its in the Ferguson story in book or DVD. Grey Fergies win every time, though closely followed by MF and Ford. Hence the desire to plug the gaps in the Ford collection. BTW, anyone know how to build a snow Fergie, rather than a snowman? :D
  4. Coming down steady now in the north Fens. Daughter out at work but I think I'll persuade her to get a taxi rather than turn out to collect her this afternoon. Time to light the fire and settle down with hot chocolate, Christmas cake and a good Ferguson DVD.
  5. No probs. My earlier post was not a prod
  6. Interesting towhook, it looks like a threaded bolt!! Is the cab too solid?
  7. Udimore, I see your area has got itself in the newspaper today with a picture of the snow covered cliff railway.
  8. Quite right Mark. We get enough comments about our wonderful hobby of collecting tractors without anyone thinking we are a few pence short of the shilling. To cap it all he mentions the Fens in his 'nom de plume' which can only bring that marvellous area into disrepute. [
  9. You are missing the point, FB takes the boss (aka the missus) to take care of the financial side of Spalding ;D
  10. I was born a Kentish Man but lived most of my time in Kent as a Man of Kent. Both children were Man or Maid of Kent.
  11. Just south of you Andy and we had about 1/4 inch. ?If you noticed the weather forecast maps the snow seemed to skirt round the Wash area.
  12. You have been a busy little bee at Cheffyns (?) Auctions haven't you?
  13. Have you thought about plastic underground drain pipe, it comes in larger sizes than your rainwater downpipes?
  14. We don't want to lose you on the conversions front Dave.
  15. I think disc ploughs were used extensively in Africa. I seem to remember a picture of a trial version in one of the tractor mags.
  16. Looks like someone is using Meccano brackets. Would the rear pair run straight with the offset towbar?
  17. The fact is that before roll bars too many tractor drivers were killed by rolling tractors. I remember one on a farm down the road from where I lived. I appreciate that without being belted in the driver can be thrown into danger, but it must be safer.
  18. Too far for HN2 and NCC to travel!
  19. Good model Ben, but where is the wall bracing You have bracing in the roof, but not the walls. Or is it a stressed skin construction
  20. Talk about rubbing it in!! ? ?We've just had a bad cold spell that saw plenty of frost and it was generally pretty cold. ?I pitied any brass monkeys about. ?What is the air fair to NZ? ?I knew it was time to visit the land of 'Lord of the Rings' to see the locations. ?

    THE CLAAS TRACTOR

It's horses for courses, and budget. We get a lot of grey Fergies and old IH around here on smallholdings as they are the cost effective solution. Only Zetor I've seen was one doing wheelies across the road as he tried to plough clay with a 2 blade reversible having thought he was going to be working on peat.
