  1. I'm sorry, I haven't a clue. I must learn to take notes. It's not a Cat.
  2. The idea of Carr's solders is that you use them with an ordinary soldering iron, though it might need to be a powerful one. It's Carr's 224 solder which I think means 224 degrees Celcius. See http://www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/index.html?http%3A//www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/Chronos_Catalogue_Carrs_Solders___Fluxes___etc_189.html&CatalogBody
  3. Try a model shop again Mark. Carrs do a specific solder for brass along with a specific flux. I believe it uses a higher temperature than normal electrical type solder. You could always look at the adds in Railway Modeller in Smith's Lending Library!
  4. Jason, sweet. ?Are they castings or plastikard build-ups?
  5. I am looking to convert some Fords and MFs but the problem I have is drawings or pictures. Being an Engineer I like dimensioned drawings to work from, but pictures are next best. Where do you (especially 1972farming) get the information from?
  6. illusion, not illumination. Though it could have been the latter when he realised the error of his ways. ;D
  7. There was an illusion at one time
  8. Just when abouts did Mark and reality part company?
  9. Make it an hour outside then :D Beware, Becky's move to national tv shows that she has ambition, and an ambitious woman is a dangerous thing to tangle with - it can only lead to your being hurt as she dumps you to move on.
  10. No - it's called LUST. Take a cold shower, or stand outside for 30 mins.
  11. Sara has only just come back to work after having a bairn - so she's out of the running for Mark ?:'(

    Drilling kiwi style

    Looks really dry there.
  13. They sell on the 'investment' ticket as it is expected that they will increase in price. I get enough grief for what I spend on tractors. If I bought these she'd have my guts for garters!
  14. Rain now, but perishingly cold with a piercing wind. Fears of black ice on the roads - hey ho, more drain filling with cars today no doubt.
  15. Some of us will be there. Will they need to check their fire insurance?
  16. Oh, you mean like a governer on an engine
  17. Can't find 2 Boy Scouts to rub together. I'll have to just use matches, or maybe get certain members of the Forum talking about their love for JDs ;D
  18. Yes, I saw the forecasts as well. That is why I have to go out today as our visitor is coming a day early to beat the snow. Think it could be a good excuse to hunker down in front of the log fire and watch the Fred Dibnah DVDs as the snow falls outside. We also had a power cut this morning for 1 1/2 hours which meant cold water for ablutions - still nothing new in that after winter training!
  19. Just got back from taking the dog out. Back roads are a sheet of ice. One blocked off by a pickup truck that lost its rear end ans ended up square across the road with front wheels 6 inches from a 4 foot deep drain. I've got to go out later and think I'll take the longer route on the main roads.
  20. We've now got fog. Feel pity for those having to travel home from work.
