The Aughton Valley Collection

Recommended Posts

You must get a  Marge example to complete that big County line up David. Very impressive line up of tractors. I hope to have the UH 1884 Lafarge  model by the end of the month myself along with a few more new realises . ;)

Thanks ever so much Justin. A Marge version is now definitely on the cards. I've a few specific plans for some of my other line ups too. The Lafarge 1884 is a very smart variation. :) I'll look forward seeing what you add to your collection.

Here's some of the models I purchased towards my collection earlier in the year from the Spalding Spring Show.

PDC converted New Holland TM130. I had this tractor built to replicate the real machine by Uncle used to run.

great line-up of some cracking models mate. love the deeres, especially the front tank sprayer outfit.

Thanks ever so much Chris, appreciated mate. :) There's a interesting little story attached to the John Deere 3050 sprayer conversion, which is why i'm all the more proud to have given it a home in my collection. It was converted by forum member "Sparrow Legs" A.K.A Mike Arnott. Mike built it for the model building competition at the Leamington Spa show earlier in the year. Unfortunately on the way to that show Mike's wife Jenny was rushed into hospital and as result Mike couldn't attend. Most importantly Jenny was ok. So Mike decided to sell it at Spalding this autumn. Having seen it on his stand It was definitely going to end up in my collection. Great to have some of Mike's lovely work in my collection. :)

Lovely line up of deeres. These deere models have come on a lot for the collector. To think that 3 years ago all you could get in the sg2 cabbed line-up was a variant of the old ertl 3350 and a convo out of the ertl trike.

Thanks ever so much Chris, delighted with how my John Deere collection has developed. I've plenty of ideas on how i'd like it to grow further. Particularly in light of the most recent John Deere releases from Britains, which whilst great as stand alone toys and models also offer up plenty of possibilities for the custom conversion specialists. :)
