Deere-est
Nice photo's, Will. That old Ford is gleaming. The press gives a bit of work to blow the cobwebs out then. Looks good wit the duals on. It's raining here now and I have beans to cut so if you want it I can always send the rain in your direction? That plough ought to be sent on it's merry way this time then? Your cousin has some smart machinery too.

Deere-est
Tidy drilling outfit there. You dad doing the drilling? No thoughts on taking a cultivator drill on instead of that though? One which works on ploughed and min-till.

Smithy140
thanks tris. yeah he does all the drilling since the case is his tractor. No I don't think we would change it as it makes a really good job and can go in conditions where others can't. also we don't do any min-till its all ploughed here

Gav836
Just caught up on this topic, you have some nice kit their Will Those Vogel and Noot (or Bugle and Flute as they were once known in the trade) really were a pile of crap during the 90's and early 00's, I had a 6 furrow one crack off at the front furrow slide whilst turning on the headland, was still under warranty by two weeks as well at the time. It was replaced by one of the first Hektor semi mounted Vogel's which was even worse, the beam split in two clean behind the turnover rams, very messy as one end of the rams was still on the headstock end and the other on the beam end
Smithy140
Crikey gav thats really not good. well you only have to look at what holds tyhe beam to the headstock on them plougths to see that they're going to be trouble. 2 bits of cast hold it on. not alot for all that wieght is it
