tractortim
quite strange to see a 6cylinder 135hp 2wd tractor nowadays i wonder what the price difference is between a 2 wd and 4 wd?
BigX500
Approx £10000 more for the 2WD
archbarch
Not too many new 2wd tractors sold nowadays of any hp. We managed without 4wd years ago perhaps weve just taken 4wd for granted.
Lord Ferguson
not forgetting it will be limited to 30k like that... I'm pretty sure they told me that at the factory... as she's not go 4 wheel braking... We saw quite a few 2wds on the Beauvais factory tour... but we were told they accounted for just 2% of production... and nearly all went to America - so that is indeed a rare breed I hope they plan on keeping it for a long old time... I suspect the resale value of that is just about zilch
MJB1
looks rather uncomfortable in that spec although having said that there's quite a few 2wd NH tsa series tractors about , the member Manor Farm family has the uk's only 6030 i suppose it comes down to what you want it for , some farms may just want high HP 2wd tractors after all the 2640 2wd was a very popular tractor as was the ford 8100
BigX500
It is 40k box in her, trade in a MF4370 2WD
Lord Ferguson
It is 40k box in her, trade in a MF4370 2WD how come... 2 wheel braking - I thought that was a no no \ - or does it have front brakes too
Tractorman810
good few 2wd's arround down here to marcus, again most are nh's as well, but none as big as that engine wise, looks wrong in a way
BigX500
Not sure i think it was a special build over here in the UK so wether the skid unit was sent over in 4wd form unsure, try and find out.
PDC
I can see the Frenchmen on the Beauvais production line now :D 'These stupid English dis tractor look very wrong' ;D
nick a
farmers weekly price guide lists them as a two wheel drive specification at 2,196 to 2,900 less than four wheel drive versions. transmission list as 16/16-4 what ever that specification gives. also transport boost horsepower still works. tractortim
i still like a 2wd tractor as its only a few bales i make and a bit of dungspreading it suits me quite well wouldn't mind the old 4370! £10000 more i would have thought £5000 less! no axle suspension either! Eurodeere
40k or 30k gearbox is no influence over whether it has four wheel braking or not. All standard tractors are limited to 30k on UK roads. Only Unimogs, Trantors and a few Fastracs can legally go faster. Great to see a 2wd tractor in the UK, does look a bit odd though. Was it really more expensive than a 4wd? Lord Ferguson
Just out of interest... I found this in my Beauvais pics on Photobucket... This was destined for the states... all exports MF class as 'deep sea' (long distance sea freight) get a coat of was in this bay... that;s what this little lady was just about to get... This one sports the droop snoot bonnet although it is actually a Tier III engine
