These nice brochures entered my collection this week.

Roadless Supercab from the 70's and a swedish brochure on the 1000 series (preforce).

Hello Jack, nice brochures. The headlights of the swedisch 1000 series seem to be on a weird place, were these really positioned like this picture in Sweden?

4 more:

- NH Crimper 401-5 (1963, this was later integrated with the crop chopper and nowadays mowers for faster drying time and silage)

- New Holland Clayson M133 (1968, just after Clayson was acquired by New Holland and before the Clayson 1500 series, quite a rarity to find one of these)

- Ford Mustang 5610 (Swedish brochure with a strange nickname for a tractor (10 series , Gen.II)

- New Holland 10S series (2000, in the US and Mexico the 10-series have been carried on for quite some time, this brochure has to be one of the last as it was discontinued by my knowledge around 2000)

wont bother your with more of the latest additions but in a few weeks i am expecting around 75 brochures of which many rare ones  ;D

the nice thing of having the brochures scanned is that it takes just little time to resize them and put them on here  ;)

so a few more then...

- 3 single sheet Ford Tractor implements brochures dating 1947

- select-o-speed gearshifting brochure (1960)

and strangely of the 40-ish brochures of late, only 5 came my way by bidding on ebay, a lot from a fellow i got in contact with through ebay though, then some Spalding buys (about 10 or so) and a dozen from a trade with another dutch collector of brochures...

Lovely items Wil ... so what was select-o-speed... is it a kind of multi-power device mate ???

the select-o-speed was used firstly on the 601/701/801/901 American Fords and later also available on the early Ford 1000-series. it is a type of tractor transmission , sort of "shift on-the-go to any speed" without clutching. Hydraulic Power does the actual shifting and it is especially handy when you need more pulling power and have to shift down in gears where you would normally stop, this makes sure the tractor keeps moving... But it came with some problems and was discontinued somewhere in the '70's i think

My brochure collection is growing more rapidly then i thought it would. but this was a chance to obtain many brochures at once which i couldnt let pass. As for what i am expecting; no problem, it is quite a list  ;)

- Versatile 895 (1980-84)

- Cummins engines for Versatile tractors (2 different ones)

- Ford Construction Buyers Guide 1984-85

- Ford Backhoe brochures (4500, 555, 7500)

- Ford Compact Loaders (Skidsteer, multiple versions)

- Ford 4 seasons brochure

- Ford silver band brochures (various)

- Ford Lawn & Garden tractors (quite a few variations)

- Sperry-New Holland Buyers Guides (6)

- Sperry-New Holland equipment brochures from late '60's (5)

- Sperry-New Holland skid steer brochures (2, never knew that Sperry NH already made skid steer prior to the Ford takeover)

- Ford truck mounted backhoe

- Ford presents County 4-wheel drive tractors

- Sperry-New Holland combine brochures (late 1970's)

and more, bit more regular stuff and some duplicates i think.

thanks Sean & JDeere6910.

the Ford Mustang 5610 is a Swedish brochure, i have no idea why they called it a "Mustang" as i thought that was a car and not a tractor. But my Swedish is not good enough to translate the brochure contents... ;)  By the looks of it however it seems to be just the regular Ford Force II 5610...

Ronald: very nice brochure of the Roadless Major. I did not see it before, maybe some of the UK members might have seen it before.

@Wil, there's also a french Mustang brochure and I also have another swedish one. I will try to locate them and put them up here.

@Ronald, find below some pictures of the inside of the swedish 1000 series brochure. Here you can see the postion of the headlights. Also on the french version of this brochure the headlights are postioned like this. Also strange is the position of the front wheels.

:D That's a very nice brochure on the Manuel-Roadless Fordson Major, Staplopfordson. There were a number of variations of this, but I am sure you have any early one. I have a couple that are very similar in my collection.

The Mustang was produced for the French market, I saw one at Cheffins sale a few years ago.

hello eurodeere,

i take it, you meant the self-propelled Ford combines? as i have quite a few Ford combine brochures of which many are of the pull-type versions. but two self-propelled brochures, both about the Ford combine series 611, dating 1960 and 1961. have added a scan of the specifications for this combine. some other info is also available of you want. It was advertised as - Ford 6-cylinder(78 hp) engine, 4-speed transmission plus variable drive, hydraulic header lift (10 and 12 foot headers available), open grate concave, extra long straw walkers, 45-bushel grain tank.

just let me know. i can send you a complete scan of the brochures..

Ford Mustangs were force 1 10 series with LP and AP cabs from feb 1985 for the French market, fixed spec I think and special decals, here's one for sale on Agriaffaires at the moment:

http://www.agriaffaires.co.uk/used/farm-tractor/1225938/ford-mustang-5610.html

Does anyone have more info on the Ford combines in red?

Just found this brochure. In France the Mustang was based on the first 10 series tractors with bubble cab. The following tractors were available: 4110 with safety frame, 4610 2wd or 4wd with safety frame or cab, 5610 2wd or 4wd with safety frame or cab, 7610 4wd with cab and 7710 4wd. These tractor were available (according the brochure) until the end of june 1985.

And now the question for today: what is wrong about this brochure :) . Nothing to win, but it is easter now and nice weather.

Found this slightly earlier version of the swedish Mustang brochure (plain Ford instead of Ford New Holland). In contrary to the french Mustang tractors based on the first 10 series with bubble cab, these tractors were based on the Force 2 with SQ cab. Apart from the picture on full colour, the only thing I can see that differs between them is the air intake on the front and the other style of front rims. Position of the rear rims has changed also, which means a new picture was taken...
