unkelfergus
We originally applied for this store 20 years ago,.....got permission, but never needed it due to an opportunity arising allowing us the use of a 2000 tonne store on a neighbouring farm close-by. We re-applied for larger store 2 years ago and were very surprised to get it with no objections,.....well,...only one minor grumble from a neighbour asking that the two roller doors were powder coated the same colour as the building, and not galvanised as the plan showed. The original plans were for a 1000 tonne store,......this one will hold between 15 and 16 hundred,....full right up to the front it will hold 1730. First picture shows the extension on the cattle yard next door which was put on back in january. Will get some better pictures tomorrow showing how the site is split level and how much hardcore we have built it up with,............45 lorry loads to date. Tomorrow's job,......we've got a 15 ton machine coming to track the hardcore down. These 4 loads plus another four loads which will be delivered tomorrow,...will be tracked in on top. I have the hardcore about 4 inches above the level pegs at the moment but it will go down that much after the machine has been over it....hopefully.. This old lady has had two grand spent on the front axle..(new diff and driveshafts, bearings and seals).., and has been my second home for the last week or so. A small quiz for you all,.......How did I get the pipe under the road without digging the road up.... And no,...we didn't dig under the road at all...... unkelfergus
Pushed a plastic pipe through solid clay without breaking it,...............I dont think so Dwayne, how did we get the clay out of the pipe if we did..... . You are on the right line though and very warm.... . This was the only pipe I pushed through with the jake and did it take some pulling back out again....... :of

BRITAINSMAD
we did a project like this under the main road when we were building our house and had to get the power from one side of the road to the other. We used a solid pipe to create the hole by pushing it through and brought the wires through the hole that was created, housed in a pipe the same size as the one we had created the hole with. Worked like a charm!
