Harvest 2011

Been rather wet in Suffolk recently, but I did see some action even if the combines were resting...

1 - A Lexion 470 that had migrated from Leicestershire to Suffolk

2 - 2x Dominator 88s combines waiting for a break in the weather

3 - Jolly name for a road... wonder how it got the name? :-/

770 is a 600 with updates. Graintank, engine etc.. all the same. Just the threshing compartment improved and all the computer settings now easier. GPS and all. New Terra Trac's as well.

Just a little bit more to it than that  :police::D , New electronic system forthe whole machine and completely new hydraulic system aswell compared to the old machines :) .

Went to the CNH dealer today, where there was a CR9070 and a CX6080 (which funnily enough the farm we are in partnership with just had on demo and are going to buy one!) But could anybody tell me anymore about the 6080? I was told they had it on demo, but didn't hear anymore, i've never heard of a CX6080 before? I noticed it had a new style cab which i've never seen before either, unless they are just on the smaller ones  ??? Is it a new series by any chance?

Bit more from me.. now I have time to even break wind  ::)  ...  :-[  ... anyway.... harvest, for me at least, is over now I think....

For the last 3 days I have been the 3rd trailer hauling for TWO Lexions 580tt's.. and boy oh boy can those machines knock it over when you get two together .... at times we've been run ragged... but I don't think we ever had one stopped waiting for one of us to fill... well.... except for once...

I think it got a bit hot... this load was not far short of 15t  :-[  - it took some lifting I can tell you  :of

Didn't get much of a chance for photographs....  one more video for you...

and one image.... on Sunday we discovered that we'd not get all the corn in the store - as it was yielding so high... well over 4t/acre ... so they booked 6 lorries to ease the burden.... worked out perfectly as well.. we literally had to squeeze the last load in the the store..

That was one hell of a field... and with a big old hump in the middle too.

Anyway.... I'm off for a lay down  :of:-[:D :D

Looking like a 7% real world increase in output for the 770 over the 600... and a max of 125t/h  :of

A lot of straw being moved around up hear too Paul, there has been a lot out in the rain over the past week. I'm heading down to Penzance tomorrow, then Helston, up to Camelford and then home via Sidmouth with a bit of luck. I hope I see plenty of scrabbling going on as we are in for some rubbish weather again as far as I hear.  :-[

Nice photo of the two machines unloading together Mark  :)
