catkom3
Norev have probably been on the go longer than most other toy manufacturers, mainly 1/43rd scale but now doing 1/32nd scale too, http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/Toys-Games-/220/i.html?rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=2&_nkw=Norev%20Berliet&_dmpt=UK_ToysGames_DiecastVehicles_DiecastVehicles_JN&_fln=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m283 Regards Joe. malcy_p
A 770 on wheels??? That's a disappointment! And still no sign of an opening grain tank... \ Still, won't stop me buying one I guess.... /malc.
malcy_p
ah right thanks, wonder will the claas dealers be able to get them not like the white xerion \ I visited Manns recently and asked about getting hold of a 750 and was told that they'd already tried to order some in from Germany and been given a firm 'Nein' Shame. /malc. bluegreen
I was told the real 770 is only available on tracks and not wheels if the customer specs a 40ft header This is because of the tyres "bounce" effect that compromises the cutting height at the header bar ends when on typical terrain. Many drivers comment on how much more stable a big class9 combine with 35ft+ cutterbar is on tracks. So well done Norev in basically offering an upgrade of Norscotts 580 model with a 40ft header that wheels cant cope with and no working graintank how dissapointing! rumour has it that Britains new JD S690 will have working graintank so if thats true its a JD or another NH if UH come up with the goods for me
mrol
The wheels are a huge disappointment in my opinion
Niels
A 770 on wheels??? That's a disappointment! And still no sign of an opening grain tank... \ Still, won't stop me buying one I guess.... /malc. It looks very much like the Norscot chassis of the 580 with a changed top and cab. Strange the 750 comes with Terra Trac's and this with wheels. Probably want to keep the purchase price down?
mrol
The other odd thing about that picture to me is how tight the wheel seems to be to the wheel arch - there seems to be no clearance at all by the looks of things. The cab glass also seems strangely cloudy. I'm hoping this is a prototype version. I also hope they offer two versions - with wheels or with tracks. I'd be happy to pay a little extra for the tracks. JEP
Also comes back to the question - are the 750 & 770 just decal changes? because if so - they are not accurate - either one is to wide, or one is to narrow - depending what the model has been based on...... \ , (unless Norev has made two castings??) and as previously mentioned, the 40 foot table is only available on the 770TT. That is definitely the case in the UK but I'm not sure if that is the case in Eastern Europe and USA where road width restrictions are different and either super singles or duals can be fitted. There are definitely pictures of a 770 in Claas colours with the 35ft table and 770 in CAT colours in US with 40ft tables all with wheels rather than tracks....but from a UK perspective I really want one with tracks! I bet the CAT version 770 wheeled has a 40ft header with its own wheels fixed on the cutterbar like the draper machine. Anyway you cut it that Norev model is massively dissapointing We were told there was an embargo on it and this secrecy led most of us to expect something highly detailed and a bit special like Schucos recent MF combine offering but instead we get a rehashed Norscott580
Niels
Mind you Bluegreen, the lids on Schuco's AGCO combine also don't open. So far only Norscot and Siku managed to do opening lid 600 and 590R.
Paul Palmer
from somebody who knows what there talking about,a combine specialist at claas uk,this is part of a large email sent to me explaining the fitting of the v1200 header to smaller models Paul The LEXION 750TT is not available in the UK with a V1200 cutterbar and the LEXION 770 on wheels is not available with a V1200 only the TT machines can use the V1200. However accross Europe the V1200 cutterbar is available on smaller combines as they have much lower yields than the UK, this allows smaller combines to work with wider cutting widths due to the reduced volume of crop going through the machine. Maybe Paul but my farm (carpet specialists) is here in the UK so what I put on it must be available in the UK and to a similar spec that I see around me in the great british countryside The best thing you can do with that combine is wait for somebody who can put a siku style graintank on it and tracks and TT decals as well (very expensive) so Its JD or NH for me in 2012. Kiwi6920
Sorry bluegreen didn't class ask you if the spec was suitable for ur uk farm. I'll go have words with them for you..... Hmmmm German oem so German spec machine makes sence to me
bluegreen
I expected Claas to appoint an OEM to produce with great accuracy their top of the range Lexion combine 770TT just as they do with their tractors and implements. With Norev as with Norscott before they have fallen well short And Nick the last time I saw pictures of the german harvest on the web ALL the big Claas combines were either on tracks or at least with 900 or 1050 wide front wheels/tyres and not skinny tyres whilst lifting a 40ft header ! They also had operational graintanks antagonistic bit removed - keep it polite please
malcy_p
And another thing...! Looks like the 770 TT plus V1200 won't be the Claas flagship model for long - there is something new and big out there! /malc.
