Neighbours have a 1996 version with over 10k hours and no trouble apart from one clutch so if this one is half as good it will be a great tractor. Very happy so far. MJB1 Posted September 30, 2011 Share Posted September 30, 2011 i think the 9880 is 98HP when it was first released it was termed as a cheap MF as it shared the same cab as the MF series although it was very popular with dairy farmers as well as the blizzard 75 & 85 but soon fellout of favour when the legend series was introduced, as gone was the simple hard wearing style went out the window for the flash new electrics , that & all the legends weren't the most reliable machines.
