The Spalding show is probably the best show in the UK for model sales, standard as well as scratchbuilds, Toytrac has more displays and some others have more real (full sized) tractors, so I would say yes. Leakeyvale
I go up each spring but cannot make the October one. Apart from the show itself it is great to meet up with all the FTFers, especially on Saturday night although I generally leave the pub before things get too out of hand

Leakeyvale
hi there i will be making the trip then,i hope to meet some ftf guys there then. You'll meet a LOT of us. We generally home in on the Model Farmer/FTF stand during the day and I will be loitering there for some of the time!
jaywilli7610
hi james i am from aberystwyth do you do it in a day or do you stop over night??im prity excited about it. I do it in a day purely because of work commitments. I will admit it is a long day but well worth it. From Aber it would be a rather long journey to do in a day. There are plenty of b&b's in the area. Many FTF members in the vicinity could point you in the right direction.
Leakeyvale
A lot of us are in the SpringfieldsTravelodge but the rooms were around £60 at the last check and they still have rooms available (surprisingly). There are others in the area although not as close to the venue but...

Lady Ferguson
Well as you probably all know this is the highlight of our Spring shows and I CANNOT wait. Even having to put up with Niels, Barry, Steve and Sean (although he avoids us on Saturday eve for some reason... something to do with Barry I believe ) There's something about Spalding - it has an atmosphere all of it's own (and it's not just Sean's feet - Marky told me to say that by the way... I would never be so cruel..). Apart from anything it is a truly international event, with traders and fellow collectors from all over the World coming together to celebrate our fab hobby and top up on their models. And if anyone has the slightest hesitation about attending... get rid of it now... you won't be disappointed I promise... even just for the pre-show party on Saturday night it's worth the trip ps no-one buy Andy any Vodka Martinis, though
Leakeyvale
I'll buy him a soft drink! I agree wholeheartedly with Mandy. It is the highlight of the Spring shows and I too would not miss it. Looking forward to meeting the regulars on Saturday.
Lord Ferguson
If anyone (those not connected with real farming) fancies learning to drive a tractor on the Saturday PM ... then please let me know.. you are more than welcome for a go on Hattie or Mavis.. Histon Produce is on the way up to Spalding from the South.. about 40 minutes drive away.
