F8N
depends on wether you prefer a mounted cultivator or a trailed one really , ive got rid of the vaderstad trailed one now and just have a couple mounted ones , a bit more easier to get around all our country lanes , as to the spreaders depends how much you want to spend , ive got 2 triathlons there pretty good ,and the dangreville is a bit larger but a good machine , I hope that's helped a bit garyyes, thanks..iv neen trying to aquire more compact machinery... These big machines need a lot of room

tractorboyjules1977
with the showers coming down very frequently maize has been stop start and so has the drilling of the wheat , however weve nearly completed the new machinery shed and now only the roof to get on if these strong winds decide to settle down , at least we can get something done in and out of the showers

Oakley Farms
Liking the expansion plans Julian, i had HSE on the phone earlier about sightings in the area of suspect man cages for lifting, i now know where this was! Your word is safe with me but give us a buzz next time as ours is here in the yard
tractorboyjules1977
last bits of the roof gone on the new shed ,looks impressive and loads more room , today didn't start too well with the forager picking up a puncture in the first hour ,with that sorted out we were off again and now weve only got around 350 acres of customers maize left , also back at orchard busy on drilling wheat and the seed gradually decreasing from the shed ,
Oakley Farms
Keep it up Julian, your in the same situation as us, plenty to do but the ruddy weather wants cheering up!
tractorboyjules1977
what a cracking day weather wise ! so much for the odd heavy shower !! just hitched the 3 metre drill up and set of front discs first thing this morning tootled off down to the first 20 acres to drill , managed to drill 8 acres or so and then it heaved it down , so had to turn back to the yard , not much better maize wise today 11 acres blown then had to pull out , so the gang decided to pull back to the yard as not looking too good for next couple of days , least we can keep an eye on the machines back at home , hopefully end of week will see some improvement !!! looks like a couple days in the office !

tractorboyjules1977
having some new tyres fitted to the 818 as shes due out for a lot of dung spreading and ground conditions getting worst , also don't wanna give the boys in blue a excuse to pull us in as were up and down the main roads a fair bit , as to the cultivators our mounted ones aren't vaderstad ones the only one we had was a trailed one and hes been part exed out
tractorboyjules1977
nearly the end of the week and all sorts of jobs starting to get backlogged due to the weather , with only 85 acres of wheat drilled so far and not much more being drilled for at least a couple of days looks like were be drilling for longer than first thought , as for the maize we"ve hardly done anything worth talking about and as for ground conditions looks like we might need a tank before long , at least we can get some umbilical moving on some of the drier grounds ,well at least we can look forward to having a working lunch on sunday with alex from Oakley farms and stew Elliott contracting to discuss our proposed digester plans !
Light Land
Nice cattle in the 2nd picture, they will be inside soon as winter starts? Do you make money out of cattle or do they just keep the rough areas tidy?
tractorboyjules1977
a very productive meeting with alex and stew Elliott yesterday saw us put a joint venture to bulid a digester , so with plans being submitted it was time for a walk around the yard and see where we could fit in the plant , meanwhile the lads have been out tanking and on the umbilical , back in the yard weve been tinkering in the workshops putting on the new gps system ( farmicom ) at the minute weve got 2 installed so far , also been doing our bit to support the british farmers by stickering up the trailers ,

Niels
dont dis the fastracs Niels i will be after you mate Only joking Paul. Was speaking to one of the very few Dutch JCB owners and he has just sold his 18.500 hours 185-65. It will now have a more easier second life with a horse owner. That tractor was virtually pullet proof.
