harvey123
That looks a tidy set up! At work we've been trying to get the boss talked into selling the Rolland for a black Bunning to match the Fendts! Is it just the two pictured you have which are black?

tractortim
Nice setup withe fends and spreaders could you explain what all the hydraulics are for on the back I presume the slider one bottom is to alter the spread width? What's the rams at the top for?
watermill
Hi, the rams at the top lift the whole back up so you change blades / unblock machine if required. The 'blades' at the bottom are headland deflectors.

bluegreen
Black muck spreaders!!!!!! I thought Black tractors were bad enough but that's taking it to the extreme............................Metallic green looks ok on a Fendt in the same way metallic blue works on NHs but black and agriculture just don't mix................whatever next? Perhaps some muppet will have a white Fendt with green and blue tattoo style writing all over its bonnet or a giant earing pierced through its wing mirror ..........or maybe white walled tyres .............................FFS someone call the taste police! convo
looks the dogs bollacks to me ,,, 8) and it only comes across as a company that take pride in what they have and can be bothered to repaint or order equipment in there own colours rather than the run of the mill ,,,so if they go to all that trouble to do that in the first place they have got to be doing a really great service ,,,lets face it, look in the field and see most contractors or farm services and there john deere will be green or new Holland will be blue then you might just see by the sun strip on the front window who they are if your close enough ,,you will pass and not give it a second thought ,,, look at this company ,,,one thing is for sure you will not forget it ,,so the colour scheme has done its job what you find with these company's both over here and Europe who go to the trouble of different colours are very very successful and want to show off ,,and why not . you have got to admit if you were riding around a field in this black out fit working for this company you would be like a dog with two c---s
robbo
does that mean that we are going to see a muckspreader repaint from the convo stable perhaps?
Tractorman810
Some people are never happy are they ? Do they charge extra when you have the spreaders done in non standard colours then? Often wondered , same when you see the non standard grain/ silage trailers ,

convo
does that mean that we are going to see a muckspreader repaint from the convo stable perhaps? well not from me ,,exactly,,, but a guy who is a specialist in the model muck spreader building business ,,,could well have my paint on ,,,would be nice to see this set up in limited edition display cases ,,,black fendt plus black bunning spreader and a red sumo weight block on the front ,,,,nice ;) that would top any thing the guys from Europe have ever done
Paul Palmer
other side of the fence convo is a lot of farmers think flash b******s and dont use them,i dont think down here in devon ive seen any contractors kitted out with special paint jobs, every one to their own though
Tractorman810
there's a contractor running around our way in a black 939, with various black bits to pair up ,he's got a huge twin axel tree / stump shreader, black low loader and a black grain / silage trailer paul, no idea who he is , but when I was out gunny way I saw him a fair bit just after xmas , have seen him out Kingsbridge way to recently, know it was him as he had the shreader on the back again , that guy out the back of the hair dressers at st anns chapel also sells various colour coded stuff to, inc a black slurry tanker I saw there so I suspect the gears come from him there's also a fleet of massey's from a guy around liskeard who's got matched trailers (redrocks with silver silage extensions ) if you look around theres a good few who have colour matched of late, can point you in the direction of a case magnum 340 I think it is / was with colour matched tebbe spreader ( spreads the chicken muck from the egg farm st cleer way) and a bit further down west around dobwalls / st austel way a load of fendts with matched trailers and tankers, they prob just do not stick out as much as the black does . smithy
Whats the difference between farmers/contractors having there own colour scheme and haulage contractors having theirs? Lots of people follow a certain lorry company because of names on the lorrys and you can tell theme from a distance because of their colour scheme
Deere-est
Stunning machinery, Charlie. Makes the whole job a bit less sh**ty when you have gone something like that to put some pride into. I don't know if they are still there but there were some digested cake stockpiles beside the A342 Devizes - Rushall road over the winter and with all the rain we had they started to move. I saw a gang there building bundes around them, was it your chaps?
watermill
Hi Tris, It could well have been, not a good winter for our job at all. Hard work and very stressful. Glad you like the kit. Just done heathfield Agri show today with a new spreader and tractor on the stand - constant stream of people and cameras!
