robbo
Get his registration number Mike and nick him! I was at work when it was delivered and there was a card through the door when I got home, I had to go to the local parcel office to pick it up so unfortunately I don't know who it was :( I have managed to fix most of the parts back on, there is just the mudguard left and it doesn't seem to fit :( I will have another go in the daylight tomorrow. mr softie
and i bet there wasnt a mark on the parcel when you picked it up from the post office, if you are going to make a claim royal mail will want the damaged model and the damaged packaging for their investigation and when you try to explainthat you have had it repaired you get told you havent a leg to stand on, previous experience with an insured conversion via royal mail

MJB1
the realisation i no longer have a car bearing in mind it's a 1999 ford escort 1800TD rust in the usual places spent £400 on MOT sept 2009 with a view to selling it , but i then had a car with 12 MOT for £400 , i couldn't buy a car with £400 & 12 mot , so i kept it JAN 2010 the cam belt decided to leave it's employment so £600 was spent on an engine rebuild , as couldn't afford another car, woohoo a new engine & 8 months MOT SEPT 2010 MOT more welding etc = £450 aaaarrrrgggghhh ah well time to sell it on ebay for sale, a few time wasters then Mad's car goes wrong in OCT, my brakes start making noises, ok time to change the rear shoes , then my windscreen has a major crack so off to autoglass , where they remove the old windscreen taking half the metal frame with it autoglass refuse to just put a new screen in , cant blame them really as only 2 thirds of it has anything to secure the glue to sod it ,i absolutely refuse to spend any more on a car that's only really worth £500 & have been paying my MOT off in instalments so have decided to give the man at the garage the car to write off my outstanding debt
