bluegreen
I bought myself a Ford 5610 2wd with a view to make a nice 6410 Stripped her down firstly, painted the front wheels correct off white colour...………………...replaced skinny UH front tyres with deeper Imber tyres. Removed filter stalk off front of bonnet, reduced its height 3mm and replaced it...………………...Fitted switched 6410 bonnet to chassis. Bored out rear wheelaxle hole to 3.5mm and fitted more suitable Imber wheels and tyres. Removed front weights.

bluegreen
Yes its looking like I had hoped it would...………………..I did buy a 6810 and 6410 4wd but I don't like the way the bonnet tilts up on them, so I decided a 5610 2wd was the way to go.........….and then I had to chose which model would be my favourite to swap over the 5610 bonnet with................................the real size 5610 machines were non existent in my area, whereas 6610s gen2 and then 6410, 6810 Gen 3s were common place and many of these were 2wd. The 6410 is ideal on 2wd, the 6810 with the bigger bonnet filter (in most cases, but not all) looks best in 4wd, just like the 7610. And having acquired a few Ford Imber skid units complete with wheels, both 2wd and 4wd I could see the 2wd wheel and tyre choices were much better than those on the UH 5610 model. So I swapped them over and we can all see the improvement Cab, driver, reg plates, some form of front weighting or tombstone will complete the job shortly...…………………..I removed the original front weights as they are overkill on a small 2wd machine imo……………………………...And besides I want a few spare parts handy for when the SQ 7710, 7910s and hopefully 8210 arrive next year. SPN
I put the 6610 2wd on 11x38s and put a little tray on the front to take the bare look off it. Going to upgrade it with a grill guard at some stage.

bluegreen
Final shots, including my finished 7810 as well...…………….made the 6410 a 1990 H reg...……..The 7810 a J reg and will probably add a second on a G plate in the new year.

bluegreen
Thanks guys, The wheels and tyres from an Imber donor chassis are absolutely spot on, im very pleased with both these 10 series models and the 6640 is a good model too. justy 46
I put a set of those Imber rear rims under my UH 6610 Gen 2 a while back . I purchased an Imber 7740 conversion from S Frater . So I used those rims from the 7740 & transferred the UH rims on to the 7740 in return. It worked well on both tractors..

I did consider doing just that with the 6410 Justin, but as I already had a 6640 I didn't want another 40 series...……………..unless a 8340 sees the light some day.
