bluegreen
Just had a look through my photo album and most MF 3000s have the badge to the left, same as the models. Heres a 1993 3120 at the Otley demo with its leftie

richo
I would be interested to see a couple of comparison pictures showing the UH 3080 and 3120 side by side, can anyone on here do this?

bluegreen
Interestingly your 3080 has a grey chassis which most didn't have. 1986-1990 were brown and then went grey for 6 months to a year before 3085 replaced them. The 3120 was introduced in 1992 or 93 and all these machines had grey chassis and not brown, which is why I painted mine grey..

I bought my 3080 not long after it's realise by UH , which was almost 9 years ago now I think. So did UH change the colour off the chassis over to brown near the end off their production run..?.thats a question I can't answer or did they ever even do it !. So basicly the chassis on both these tractors should be vice versa or the other way round.
Tractorman810
not that i know justin, all my 3000’s from the first batch are grey chassis, so i guess they measured up a late version , maybe one in the MF museum, which is prob the more likely . Thanks for the pictures, I don't think I will buy either these latest two models but a 3690 would be a different matter. I made a 3680 a few years ago using a Britains bonnet and Ertl cab but wouldn't mind a UH 3690 too. Fantastic real tractor to drive!
bluegreen
The 3080 I owned was bought secondhand and that had a brown chassis which was correct for the mid-late80s offerings. Didn't realise UH painted some of them grey until I saw the picture above.

Just live with it that UH has been able to remedy this issue. We are very grateful to them for willing to resolve the above issue ahead of Christmas. All who pre-ordered the item received the correct version in time. Those who didn't return their item for whatever reason still own the 1st release. I'm challenging you to find 2 plinths with the same limited edition number of either the 3095 or the 3120 to support your false suggestion of any duplicate numbers within the 1000# of each. Cheers, Jos It would appear that a seller in Hong Kong is now selling the MF models with the exhaust in the wrong place. Are these the ones that were returned to UH before the amended version was sent out? If it is, then it is possible that there are now 2 models of each version with the same serial number on the plinth https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UH-1-32-Massey-Ferguson-3120-Datatronic-Diecast-Model-6237-Not-original-carton/284126924230?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UH-1-32-Massey-Ferguson-3095-Autotronic-Diecast-Model-6236-Not-original-carton/284127919817?hash=item422757fec9:g:51gAAOSwCQ1f5bRW
Toyfarmer1
Hi Mike, The easiest way for you to find out is to order a few. 😉 For all other readers. These are default models that haven't passed UH quality checks (for other reasons then the exhaust placement 😉 ). The offered models in the Ebay offer are stolen from the factory production waste and have (as mentioned in the add) no original box and no number. So there are no doubles to be found. Cheers, Jos

Cheers, Jos Hi jos i really don't want to ruin your day but i took a punt on one of these purely on item info on ebay to do a conversion , which arrived monday , and the sellers very clearly pulling the wool over your eyes , i received massey ferguson 3120 no 91/1000 in your farm toys branded massey dealer box , has the sticker underneath with uh code ect on it , with the exhaust and filler cap reversed, which i corrected just as per my two i purchased from you at zwolle (didnt return as you were stressed enough on the day when you found out and i could sort it ok ) and after a reAlly good look round no other fault was found , see attached pic taken after i sorted the reversal fault . I know what that sellers saying ad wise but i aint lying is all i will say
