Valley Axe Man
Nice morning Just sat outside having my first coffee of the day and a few minutes with the crossword when there's a rumbling coming down the farm track..... me thinks this is a different fastrac to the one on the corn cart.... I'm thinking farm is split and the other farm is the beef unit

Will keep putting you back abit... Hopefully fingers crossed you can get back cutting again soon.... We had a bit of a explore of the local area yesterday and there were at least 4 crews cutting... All seemed to be chopping straw bar one which was being baled with a big Deere and what looked to be a big Claas Quadrant... Apart from the H&M and a West on the farm we staying on the trailer of choice round here seems to be Bailey and Harvesters are predominantly Class, but there's a dealer not far from Alford that we passed so parts and service be handy. They started again leading the box muck in at 6 am this morning so I'm wondering if it'll get spread this week and then ploughed in... When we got back yesterday they were leading grains back, Kramer was pushing them in maybe a trailer load every hour or so but had stopped by about half 10. smithy
We started today around 2pm nice and sunny barley was 13% in one part of field and 17.4% in another part but we kept going ,got about 20 acres cut ,had to keep trailers off field and only do half tank on combine as ground is so soft . One bit on a slight hill i had to get most of it downhill as dug holes trying to go up but got there in the end . We was on land about half-hour away from farm and to make it better for wife carting i called in a mate of mine so they had trailer each and gave them time to keep pushing up . Hopefully get going bit sooner tomorrow allow i have some wet straw to go and try to turn so it can dry so big baler can come in . No photos today as was to busy ,will get some tomorrow

Popular Post phil phoenix
Legge Farms added a JCB iCON to their fleet of Fendts back in the spring and as anticipated it got hooked up to their bale chaser for harvest. There are few sights more enjoyable during harvest than watching a rig like this in action in the field. Lovely set up😎
SirTainly
Woohoo, five minutes of work, I now have the last brake light and the front indicators working on the 785! Oxidation on the contacts was the culprit. Just the windscreen wiper to get working again (l think we put back a blown fuse last week as it was working before we started cleaning fuses).
SirTainly
Aaand today no indicators, but the wiper magically started working 🤣
Valley Axe Man
Since Gemma sadly lost her Jack Russell earlier in the year, after having her from a pup to almost 14 years old ,she finally decided it was time to get another little 4 legged friend, so we picked him up today, born on the 11th of June whilst we were at Newby Hall tractor fest i'd like to introduce you to Hamish, a West Highland terrier/ Poodle cross, and I've already got him on the right path of what breed of tractors to keep too, afterall being a westie and native breed of Scotland there's no other real choice than one of Bathgates finest 😂
