What have you been doing or plan on doing today?

Recommended Posts

Relaxing at home after enjoying spending Christmas down in Sheffield with Mum, Dad and my younger brother. Having a right good catch up on here today whilst continuing to stuff my face with the chocolates I received over the festive period before heading back to work tommorow. :)

cleared last nights snowfall off the paths & next doors too , checked the animals water bottle & going onto ebay for a load of repro britains bits . Should have got them before xmas then i would have something to be doing now , its far too cold to be in the workshop on the full size stuff. Planning a trip into Shropshire to collect a Power Major that my mate bought in november but keep getting put back , got to be there & back between milkings because his dad has had a new knee & is out of action.

bit late aint you david, saw them nasty little cream eggs for sale in a garage 3 weeks back, personaly recon they should have a ban till 5 weeks before easter on them

Very late compared to some retailers. I don't have a problem Sean with a few trays of creme eggs or similar placed by the tills as they serve as a useful alternative impulse buy. BUT, where I am at odds with driving seasonal stock such as this in so early is when it takes up over half our promotional space in store. I can think of quite a few other things our customers would prefer to see in their place at this time of year. At the end of the day it's Cadbury's paying for this space and there are financial incentives for the company if we can push this stock now.

Creme Eggs are sold all year round though, Sean?  :-\ Up here they are anyway.

Today, apart from a short trip to Focus for some storage tubs and a visit from my brother and his missus; the whole day has been spent sorting out the front bedroom and bathroom. Boxing up attic stuff, bagging up charity shop stuff and loading Traci's car with the stuff for the tip. I never knew so much was in there!! I don't think Traci realised how many clothes she had that she didn't really wear either!! Charity shops are going to do well I know that much

Next house project is to finish insulating the attic and get it at least part boarded for storage. Happy New Year  ::) ::)

destroyed some more of my parents kitchen, then went with them to price up 32m square of underfloor heating and stone tiles....

the tiles are "only" going to weigh 950kg, so dad might allow me to borrow the firms isuzu pickup to fetch them. lucky me. :-[
