Had a wander over to the coast at Lytham yesterday with Gemma, called in at Pembertons Farm shop (although Tom wasn't about his dad was, Tom Pemberton farm life on you tube) for a late breakfast, £4 for bacon sausage and egg butty that was cooked in front of you was spot on 👍 then headed down into Lytham, nice couple of miles on the prom walking off breakfast, a crying shame on way back to car though,  that this 1060 would have been a tidy thing by the looks of it but salt now taken hold and she getting crustier than a crabs arse......

I know what you mean John, they didn't much seem to have moved since we were last there, only maybe the 1060 i was  looking over as tin can over exhaust seemed to be a bit more used look rather than just rusty.... It's worth a call at farm shop,  bet it's only a mile and half from the windmill, some of the steaks on the butchers counter looked good but downside was cooked sandwich options didn't have black pudding amongst the options......

Yesterday my mate called in for a few hrs and finished welding this back together , got the angle on the top of main beams so any grain that comes over the top should fall off as no flat surfaces . Also cut and drilled a thicker bit to bolt along the bottom ,just got to get a thick bit of rubber to put along bottom as a ware strip

Better being straight fuel... Better than having to worry about charging, charging points and also the expense of battery if of future failure. Country not set up for electric vehicles yet on long term journey. Short runs eg milk floats and factory tugs etc were ideal but the infrastructure and even the basic timescales on charging still don't warrant an everyday electric vehicle

Exactly why i didnt bother , we are apparently going all electric by 2028 at work , wont happen, will kill us best they can buy are hardly any load in the back,950kg , which is barely what the basic safety kit weighs, so second van just for the stores to do the job , but for two ends thats 4 vans   and a total range of wait for it 60 miles, if they are  lucky the area we cover is 60 miles out let alone back as well

I needed to gain browny points (get back into positive territory) with my wife after buying another Freelander, so took her out for 3 meals in the space of a weekend!  So the moral is to make sure you bank those points Sean!

Day out yesterday to pick up a couple of bits off Nigel at Wheelies tractor spares, hellish collection of Nuffield and Leylands with a slack handful of Leyland based tractor pullers about and enough old donor tractors to keep a couple of thousand old Leylands in  daily use it's a grand spot to rummage about in  ...so  then seeing as we were only 20 mins away from the East Coastal town of Filey we ventured down to the prom and had wander about, was a grand day if not a bit breezy, only thwarted by a squally shower just as we were sat having a coffee near the slipway.... Anyhow these boat launcher didn't really go unnoticed, 1060 in particular fitted with a rarer seat in the shape of a rest o ride..  an earlier attempt at a deluxe suspension seat and surprisingly they are fairly comfy..... pity this one's missing the actual  vinyl seat cushion, but the suspension system was offered fitted with existing seat pan also, bit  like the one I had on my super major ...   And considering the salty conditions all 3 didn't appear to be into bad a shape. Heading home called in via a small detour to the village of Wetwang, the chippy there always used to be spot on and even though it be beck end of 5 years since we were last there, it's still a spot on chippy  👌
