FORD 5000 (NEW TYPE)

Recommended Posts

I have been tinkering with one of my new 5000s and came up with this.

Obviously it needs painting and some details added but I think its a bit of an improvement.

The rears may look a bit on the big side but I may badge it as a 7000 yet. :-\

The front axle isn't mounted properly yet but I think its quite do-able.

Let me know what you all think please.

Cheers.

The Dogs!

It looks perfectly proportional to me with those wheels, but in real life the 5/7000 only went to 14x34s. Those rears are close to 15x38.

Have you a pic with the original rears and JQ fronts? How bad does it look?

I haven't got a picture but it stands too high at the front really.

Another option may be the old 6600 rear wheels ?

The old 6600 wheels were awful. I've been waiting years for someone to do 14x34s on Sankey rims.

I will finish it first and see how it looks.

Next job is to address the rear linkage...........................

if your going to address the rear linkage I would suggest....F.A.O. RC2 UK, Hembury House, Pynes Hill, Rydon Lane, Exeter, EX2 5AZ  ;D:D;D

Looks good Steve, I think the old 6600 rears are too small....  :-\
