Luke DeWitt
I usually wake up around 5 or 5:30 in the morning and usually no one is awake but today I wake up and it smells like someone is baking. Turns out my mom couldn't not sleep so she stated baking at 4 in the morning! Nothing better then waking up to fresh cookies even if its in the morning. Gav836
We've bought the potato harvester that we went to look at earlier in the week, one snag though, I've got to go and pick it up as its too big to fit on their lorry apparently (cop out excuse in my opinion!!), its only about 150 mile round trip unfortunately I won't have an escort to get it through Boston which concerns me slightly \
Tractorman810
can you not bypass boston then mate? ?? must be a way round even if its a little further to get back, oh and dont take that jd will you, will more than likley breakdown mid trip
Gav836
That is on the Boston Bypass unfortunately, 2/3 lanes in places and I'll take up 1.5 of them. Taking the 6920s does concern me slightly on those grounds but we'll see
Tractorman810
is the thing near the origonal seller then? if not how did they deliver it to the previous owner then?? the lorry thing does sound a little but iffy, get paul over there sure he can handle it for you
Gav836
To get it on a lorry you need to move the right hand side of the axle in to narrow it up, have been told by our dealer that it will go on a lorry with a little work, I don't think they want the hassle though to be honest which is understandable
Tractorman810
at 25k odd for the sale i would expect them to have a little hassle getting it to you, easy to say down here, but i bet if it was new they would deliver to you just like that

robbo
Gav how wide is your new harvester? If you are over 9'6" then you might need to notify the Police 48 hours before you travel as it will be considered to be an abnormal load and require escort. You can get away with it if you are travelling from the farm to the field, or the other way round, but a 150 mile delivery trip doesn't count. Gav836
Thats what I thought Mike, I more or less had an idea that I should have an escort as it's getting close to 10'6-11' wide I think, will have to measure our old one and check for certain though as I don't want to take any chances coming that sort of distance with it \
masseyjack590
going through boston wont be to easy but they do have a lot of farm traffic round there that goes through the middle of boston so the people might be a bit used to farm traffic 66 i believe i look forward to the pictures, I'm very jealous! nice one intey! 2 or 4wd? mutty par? alex thanks alex
