Jez
New Poll has been added. I need to decide my forth coming year's harvesting. All input greatly recieved. I'm a JD guy through and through but may lean towards a Jaguar ?? :'( :'(
PDH
You need to consider whether you want a maize and a grass head for the new forager. Currently you can only get a Claas 960 with a maize head. If you go with a Norscott Claas 900 or Green Eye you can get both. Same with the NH, not sure on the JD. fendt-man-matty
thats a hard decision emm, well the jags look really nice especially the third one down, but the JD would look good as the fleet, but the new holland is tempting
Massey Boy
i voted the 960 which santa should be getting me so i will tell if it a good machine
jcb4cxkid
claas
griffithsbros
you can get a grass head for the jd but the grass head on the norscot jags are too wide and the nh grass head is the same size as the norscot i took a pic to show you
Tractorman810
having got my mits on that siku 960, i would say that, theres already a convo on ebay.de of that norscot grass pick up with a bracket on the skiu, http://cgi.ebay.de/Claas-960-Gras-Pick-up-Siku-UH-Umbau-Eigenbau-1-32_W0QQitemZ220184313050QQihZ012QQcategoryZ9126QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem and another with a narrowed in head to http://cgi.ebay.de/1-32-Umbau-Claas-Jaguar-960-Feldhaecksler-Britains-Siku_W0QQitemZ300182373627QQihZ020QQcategoryZ130331QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Jez
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, some interesting thoughts. There is also the point that the claas is capable of doing whole crop too which is important. It would be fairly easy to convert a norscot grass head for the siku one i expect. KIWINZ
i went for the jd as im true to my roots wereas the 960 is lush but you could always get the britains jd and do a weel swap to mahe it look more realistic as it has hood steering and both heads!!! Jez
Any pics of your roller door jez Not yet mate. It has stumped me. Unfortunately the up rights are wider at the bottom than the top so it will take some serious thinking about. The problem isn't noticeable but very annoying. I think I'm going to make the door in a frame then fix it to the uprights. Pics will follow when done
Jez
This is the most recent update to the workshop. I have 'sealed' the bottom of the walls inside and out. I used PollyFilla thanks to tris for the suggestion
Jez
I spent yesterday and this morning buiding and painting some of my workshop tools. This is the main bit of the workshop raised up on a concrete pad. I made the cupboards from pieces of baton and put a plastid fron t on with a handle. Then painted them JD green naturally ;D This is my modified mig welder. I am happy with it, let me knoe what you think. This is the workbench with a vice from the Italeri kit. I built the bench from Plastruct because the ones in the kit arent big enough I have fitted 2 double sockets too but not wired them in: Finnally a few of some winter service work. Getting the 7500 forager ready before it goes to the dealer to be replaced by a 960 Claas. Lots being spent on the contracting side this year. I hope it pays ??? [ :-X ;D Then getting the mowers readyto go when they are required :D
