James T Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 Some shots from a day's worth of lifting fodder beet (yesterday) can be found below. The machine can lift one row at a time, but can travel at a relatively quick pace, emptying at the end of each row. A great piece of kit, relatively simple principle to lift the beet, but one mass of chains, belts and pulleys! Enjoy! Quote
dwain Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 nice pics. i dont know anything about lifting beet but very impressive bit of kit Quote
Spud Posted November 11, 2007 Posted November 11, 2007 thats cool it looks like it works on the same principles as a carrot harverster the way it pulls them out the ground cheers Reece Quote

James T Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Nice pictures. An interesting piece of machinery - haven't seen anything like it around my way. The sky looks very moody in one of those shots! Yeah it was supposed to chuck it down but in the end it held off pretty well. JD6200 (Armer) and 6320 (with trailer). Thanks for the comments, light wasn't too great at times so colours a bit poor. Quote
BC Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Some great pictures yet again James. Keep them coming Quote
