FNHIR
That picture has to be a convo, aren't the wheels just the 7930 ones?
bluegreen
Its not a convo just look at picture on the other 2008 thread(reply4) However one pic has it with no r/h side steps & heavy rear wheel weights (which is what i want) the other has wheels similar too 7930 which I would expect as it saves on tooling costs \
FNHIR
There is nothing to indicate that any of the pictures are official, and until I see it in the catalogue I won't believe it. I don't think there is any way Britains would put a Siku linkage on one of its tractors as no Britains implement would fit it, so therefore what they would effectively be doing is making people but Siku implements. I know Britains haven't always made the best decisions, but surely even they wouldn't do this?
Deerepower
would be nice if they done some machinery to fit on the back of the tractors :D
Kiwi6920
Would be nicer if they did some tractors that machinery would fit onto ;D Well dreams are free
Johan Bos
until I see it in the catalogue I won't believe it. Believe it or not! http://www.landbouwminiaturen.info/docs/RC2_2008.pdf
FNHIR
Well like Doubting Thomas who refused to believe Jesus was still alive until he could put his hands in the wounds, I believe! Bad mistake having the old JCB Loadall in the farm scene though
Kiwi6920
Personlay that jd is wrong on all accounts with that front linkage, I personaly have seen a 8*30 with front linkage yet and that one on there is worng, why not a semi real one but non functiong lik ethe jcbs \ would be easyer on the eye
Deerepower
well what a let down on the machinery side again, come to think about also on the tractor side as well :

Deerepower
intresting thought with the front linkage on the J.D. will it lead to a range of front mounted machinery or will siku be laughing all the way to the bank with more sales of there front mounted stuff? \
FNHIR
Interesting is the word. Either Britains will develop a range of front-mounted implements or else commit commercial suicide
Deerepower
about the only one I'll be getting from that lot will be the J.D. 9530.
Deerepower
If its compatable with the Siku front implements, it could be a very smart move. It would save them having to develop any of their own front tackle! ok make a hitch that only takes your opposition implements, now thats a realy smart move boosting sales for someone else :
IH885XLMAN
I repeat - It would be a very smart move if it saves them tens of thousands of pounds in development costs! You seem to forget that Siku themselves built up their market share by making their rear linkage compatable with the then market leader - ie. Britains. Look where Siku are now!!!!! A Very wize point there people forget britains pioneerd the rear hitch years ago now as a toy nothing can come close to that design and they still use the same principles who knows what RC2 have up their sleave on the nex couple of years time
Deerepower
yeap britains did pioneer the rear hitch, but now they have gone back to the dark age with a hitch that about useful as an ashtray on a motorbike
griffithsbros
its only fair that britains have used the siku front link because siku, uh, ros etc have all used a similar version to britains the front linkage on the 8330 is too low i think it should be on a raised bit like the weight block
Fendt Fahrer
I actually used to think that the Britains tractors were the nicer than the siku ones because they did not have that ugly front linkage. Don't get me wrong I like front linkages but I do not like things on models that make them look like toys.
