MJB1
so whats next then ? 4wd ? or maybe another tractor & trimmer ? the worst thing i suppose would be actually selling your 3040. It's hard to justify selling something which is perfectly good for the job it does ,i would imagine the one thing you would only really gain is 40K box, of which you dont really need for trimming anyway

sparrow legs
jd now in the jd dealers yard put a side window through flailing yesterday and the glass is no longer availible, you have to fit a 50 series window which is different hinges and the dealer hadnt them on stock! should be here tomorro, more down time :'( when a window blows it sure makes you jump 1st one i put through in 5 years flailing! (window guard on order)
sparrow legs
had tractor back 2 days now, guess what, another problem hit a pot hole and the shock moved my flail and snapped the stabiliser kit on it and the flail dropped about a foot (just missing the cab) more bad luck a quick phone call to one of my customers who owns a fabrication firm, travelled there and an hours welding later i was on my way again needless to say i owe him a pint next time i see him in the pub
