Jez
Well FTF........... It has been a long time, a long time! I spent a few days in Cork in Ireland last week harvesting maize with the new 7950i. What an amazing machine, 812hp, Intellingent Solutions so it will measure the Dry Matter of the crop being harvested and if needed adjust the chop length automatically to ensure the cow gets the most out of the crop, yield monitoring, and field mapping. A true machine for making silage. Anyway, here are some pictures: As you can see it was WET!!!!!!!!
Jez
Wet but the farmer was happy to cut so we did.... The contractors told us that they would not have harvested anything without us, the machien was fitted with prodrive, 4wd and had 800mm tyres so the ground was not a problem. Jez
These are the smashed cob stalks, they are smashed so that when you plough the stubble they break down much quicker than when cut straight and clean.
