What's your latest farm/Construction buy in 2023
smithy replied to Tractorman810's topic in General Hobby Discussion
I think they are all based on the Claas Markant baler , Neils had a few different balers last year when i was at Zwolle all in the Perspex display case , few other people around halls had same balers but in the Claas Markant boxes and was about 10 euros cheaper than Neils , yes Neils one would display better in the case , i bought a red New Holland 575 as i run one on the farm , i bought that of a Italian dealer that was only there on the Saturday -

Its a hard job to tell myself that they are models they look just like a real photo ,well done on both

Got asked if I could lift this fibreglass boat from out on grass field into owner's garden as going to fill it with compost and plant flowers in it ,they also asked if I dare lift this other one ,but I said I think it would break up if I lifted it so we left it alone,10 years ago 2 people started to repair it as it was not to bad but unfortunately they both passed away,it had been sheeted up but last few years it's been exposed to weather and it's just too far gone,it was involved in the 2nd world war so a lot of history with it

Got my wheels out and tires as tire company was calling in to refit them ,it's hard work then putting them back on tractor even with some help as they a dammed heavy , anyway I been thinking about one for a while so in the end I bought one of these wheel refitting machines ,you can lift to right height and rotate wheel to line up studs made the job a lot safer, only thing is probably won't use it till next spring when row crops go back on

I bought this big bag lifter from a online auction as it said JCB quick fit bracket, when I got it home it did not fit ,turns out they are for a different JCB/Volvo loader, anyway I got a heavy duty set of agri linc and set about cutting old ones off ,took 2 300mm disc's in a petrol cutter,(Paddy's motorbike) and a belt with sledge hammer and they was of bit of cleaning up and got new brackets in place with a few tracks and dropped it at my mates engineering works and they mig welded it on for me ,going to paint it all yellow when I get time but slap some red lead on for moment

While I was running stones down to my drain in bucket of JCB I had 3 army lorry's behind me,we was passing 2 lorry's going other way it is a bit tight but the British army driver of the year award goes to this dickhead, it's my field and after a few wet days he thought it was hard enough to pull on it, anyway 2nd lorry was same as one stuck so nipped in front and pulled him out ,they did say sorry at the time and with shovels tried to put it right after half hour I did go up to them and say as I got digger here I could put it right so they left and I put it right,I did think they would call back with a case of beers or something but 3weeks later I am still awaiting

From what i have been told the hall is booked in November by a existing long running show (Reptile show) but it just might be free in 2025 in November .
