Have been looking at this over the past couple of days and some really good points have been brought up. The key ones for me are your CV and attitude. I have had 4 jobs and my CV is 1 page long no more. I have included a brief description of each job roles and responsibilities. You have to keep a positive attitude, people are more likely to employ some who is positive and up beat. Another point is facebook and forums are great places to meet people but it is important to remember that when things happen it is important not to post them on these open forums, employers do look at facebook so remember be careful what you post. Finding jobs are not easy so stay positive.

Yes Tris Cavalier King charles. She is just 10 weeks old. Came out of the blue had expected to wait until later in year to get one and have to travel to Ayrshire to get one but last saturday she was advertised on kennel club website due to time wasters so went and saw her and collected her on Saturday. She is my wife's dog so someone is very happy with the purchase

The winter barley and wheat is looking good up here some of the barley is starting to colour up nicely. Probably be the back of July before winter stuff cut but august onwards for spring crops. The barley needs a good bit of sun now.

Still lots of first cut up here to get cut about 2 weeks behind normal. Rain has really been against farmers up here. Most are cutting and picking up the same day. Others are cutting the night before and picking up first thing. The farm where my dad helps still has 150 acres of first cut to do. Could do with a couple of weeks of really nice weather. on the bright side places that have cut have got good grass growth on the cut fields.

Nothing at all up here in the north east of scotland. Most people have just rolled the grass. Has been really dry up here which has hindered grass growth but all has changed now because we have had rain for the past 3 days will also help the barley which was also looking a bit sorry for itself

I normally go through a pair of safety boots every 6 months or so at work due to the abuse they take being subjected to chemicals and oil and general wear and tear. Only 3 brands have lasted longer than that: sievi zip/ lace up boots really comfortable and loads of flex in them at the ankle but with the security of laces over rigger boots but easy to get on and off with the zip up the side. The others are my current boots endurance defiant very similar to the sievi's have had for 12 months and going strong also have a pair at home and can drive the car in them. Jalatte jalaska riggers boots again great boots being soft leather they break in very quickly.

Attached is an interesting article Tommy. It does mention that some seals and pipe may not be compatible with bio diesel and would require replacing with appropriate parts. This diesel is in essence white road diesel with the red excise dye added, so contractors who use white in there tractors have been using this stuff for a while have any of them had problems? As for the microbial growth might be worth looking at a biocide. Offshore we store diesel for months and when it is bunkered it is treated with biocide to kill any bugs will not cure the sludge issues but would increase storage length? http://www.townsontractors.co.uk/diesel.html http://www.agriemach.com/product_info.php?currency=GBP&products_id=1238

Well not been on the forum much of late due to a combination of events one being our home computer failing. So have had to get my laptop working, Vista caused alsorts of mayhem and would not install so have managed to get 7 installed so all is well again. Have also had 2 courses for work one was my fire team refresher, which involves fighting fires and using BA to search smoke filled rooms for casualties, good fun playing at it not sure I would like to have to do it for real. Then had my 2 yearly medical, which all went well had even lost weight since my last medical 7kg's so was happy with that. Rest of the time spent looking after kids and pampering wife for mothers day and her 30th birthday.
