  2. At work again just now thats one week done and a week to go before I get home. Has been not too busy so far on nightshift again so makes the trip go quicker. Hopefully before we go home in a weeks time we are due to get back a well that drilling have had to try and find some more oil so looks like a busy end to the trip.

  4. Yeah best to look at it that way Bill as a Bonus rather than an expected. Hopefully ours is about the same as last year or better. I have a retention Bonus coming at the end of the year 20% of salary gauranteed
  5. I didn't think you were getting one bill but great news on getting one. Just waiting to here what ours will be.
  6. The police caught the low life scum who broke into my sons playgroup on sunday night and my other sons school on monday/ tuesday meant they had day off school each because of it. Turns out same 2 were responsible for 13 other burglaries.

  8. Not been up to much of late due to ill wife and children. Have been faffing around with tyres and visiting solicitors, at least that is kind of sorted for a few weeks then to the court we go.
  9. Pot holes. My wife hit one on friday night couldnt see it but when she got home tyre was flat. Couldnt see a hole so hoped it had just broke seal but no such luck hole in the wall of the tyre less than 4,000 on the tyre gutted and at over 200 a pop not a happy chap. Have photographed pothole and have got claim forms from council so heres hoping. Another expensive year for me compounded by the council fools. > Also legal aid forms they are that bad have decided to fund the case ourselves rather than attempt to fill in the novel
  10. Well done Andy, Laurie, Bill and Brian for organising this it is great to see this happening in Aberdeen area.
  11. 500 litres of heating oil for us. should see us through to about august.
  12. We have had high winds and 6 metre seas here today coupled with horizontal snow ... Freeeeeeeeezing outside today has resulted in wearing a jacket and balacalava as well as my normal overalls and clothes. It has now stopped snowing but it was that cold it had frozen and is now falling off the overhanging edges making it decidedly dangerous outside.
  13. See Barry all the best people are born on the 6th Jan. Thanks for the good wishes
  14. Cheers Bill Offshore at the moment so have presents and meal when I get home.
  15. Back to a normal day today at work. Have had quite a busy day today. Managed to watch the old firm match after lunch didn't quite go the way I wanted it to. Just been for tea. Had a massive buffet tonight. Lots of lobster and other seafood as well as cold meats and pies.
  16. Always worth waiting till the end of your contract Mine is due for renewal soon often can get the phone at a lower cost last time I renewed got the HTC desire for my wife on an 18 month contract for free when it should have been £100. Companies are desparate to keep customers so can do good deals to keep you. Guy who works with me managed to get a 4g 32GB iphone for free from O2 on a 18 month contract @£25 a month just by threatening to leave.
  17. Well still awake for me. Up to let the nightshift get there new year meal. Long lie for me in the morning.
  18. The android software has improved greatly my wife has the current desire not the HD and it is extremley quick I have the google g1 and that is on the first android software and is very slow. http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phone/HTC/HD7
  19. Just had our new years lunch. tomato bruscheta followed by cullen skink then main course was fillet steak and veal rump stuffed with black pudding. there was also chicken balmoral and duck breast but too full to try them as well. Did manage a slice of kiwi cheesecake. I need a sleep now
  20. Well North sea oil platforms never stop so still at work. Minimum work today just a couple of walks outside to check every thing is ok. Apart from that lunch in an hours time and watch football all afternoon, staying up till midnight tonight to cover so the nightshift can all go for their special meal together, works in my favor as it means I get a lie in tomorrow morning. ;D
  21. Tris I work with several very big Geeks, one of the is at uni doing ethical Hacking so knows a thing or 2 about computers and phone technology. He has just got the iphone 4 and was won over by it straight away. The camera web usage but mostly the apps. My sisters boyfriend has one and even my 7 and 4 year old can use it so not exactly a hard phone to get used too. I am due an upgrade next year and it is currently looking like an i Phone 4 or HTC desire HD My wife has the HTC desire and again is a great phone very high quality screen and camera the new model has 720 p HD video playback. Blackberry again good phones again horses for courses worth going in the shop and seeing what you like and what feels right. don't know anyone with the new Nokia so can't comment. Hope that helps. http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/shop/pay-monthly/htc-desire-hd/

We only have the baby ones here as only a 14" pipeline to the other platform but main line to sullom voe is 36" about 26 bar pressure to push it down line with about 15,000 barrels of oil a day behind it. Usually takes about 2 days to travel 7 miles. What do you mean your diary is full expecting you now have even found you a cabin :'( :'( Yeah will stay safe have no plans of doing very much on new years day...... wait thats most days
