  1. It must certainly win the bale to baler size ratio competition.....if there was one
  2. Someone obviously read this...saw one today!
  3. usually ruin photographs..... First one - camera on autofocus, focused on the tiny little flies and not the great expanse of countryside beyond ...I think it's quite cool though Second one - Usually hate pylons and cables in shots...but when they put these up, they went all out :D
  4. Now for the contractors (Fox's) - probably the biggest machine around for some distance NH CX860 Careful round the poles Last one...for the weirdos!
  5. This one was at a sub station near Taunton....I knew one was based there for a long time in the early '90s (one of the guys that worked there was a neighbour) but I hadn't seen it for well over a decade. But looking at where it is parked...maybe it was here all along, in that garage...who knows. Probably no longer doing pylon stuff, maybe a yard shunter
  6. Cheers Tris....you might recognize some of the background hills...they are on the other side of the M5, J26 is about 2 miles towards them in the last photos
  7. It has a wet spot near to an old pond in the bottom right hand corner, but the puddle is only ever 5m x 5m maximum...the rest is steeper than it appears, we haven't had that much rain (comparatively). It was pretty dusty last year, but the clover was no where near as dry then.
  8. I haven't seen a single MF combine working this summer.....no wonder, they are all with you!
  9. When you get a demo, do they ever tell you stuff you can't do with the tractor?
  10. Just when you thought this thread was dead..... Fendt seem to have been well beaten by NH in numbers this harvest
  11. I want to go cut down some pylons... Old School Nat Grid...check the paint job....someone couldn't be bothered!
  12. I was wondering that too, I carefully avoided mentioning silage
  13. Following on from http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=17250.0 Contractors may have a heart attack...3.7 acres in 4.5 hours The reason why there are no close-ups....dust Nice and full The reason it tooks so long; the Claas driver joins the 6290 driver and they both leave. Now they come back, with the Claas driver driving a 6170 (which gets parked up). The 6290 is now pulling a different trailer. Once the 6290 is full, the driver gets the 6170 from where it was parked Once the 6170's trailer was full, the Claas driver got into the 6290 and they both left again. Last one.....they hadn't quite finished when I went out
  14. Thanks for all the compliments I'll put some more photos up tomorrow, should keep the masseys happy A teaser for now :D
  15. I love it, I think it looks great on the singles, a real power house. Thanks for coming back and sharing these with us Bill, it is appreciated.
  16. Oh dear, should have left it alone when you had the chance Flex not folding http://claasomaha.com/products/2006FlexHeadSpecSheet.pdf Can you imagine the stress of 20foot+ of header sticking out the front of the combine? numpty for one please
  17. Looks good Though you may want to check the Siku 2006 tractor
  18. If it folded, I think they might have brought a shorter trailer! Didn't know that about unimogs, don't think I've seen a new one for a while though.
  19. Good spot! Is it sticking out of the barn a little? Can it be seen on google earth/live local?
