  4. Thanks Nigel yeah shame about sunday afternoon, the morning was great though....I couldn't understand why it was so quiet around the machines and why so many people were perched on the fence so early....got a load more to come, for me it was the first time I'd ever seen many of the machines so I took plenty
  5. Is there a way of telling from this view, because I could look at the larger version I have Get many photographs Nigel? what did you make of the event?
  6. I would take either I'm struggling to get info, I've got gibbards book and I know the wheelbase and width (if its the same as the base unit), I've searched Farmphoto, google and past ebay sales, but because I've never seen a real one I need to get an idea of the desgin, how the rear is layed out and what is in the middle so at the moment anything would be good.
  7. I'm afraid I don't have a 956xl but I would think that it would be too big. How close is the 956 to a case 2294?
  8. I'm keen to make one of these and had hoped to see one this weekend but alas none was present (and i'd even taken a tape measure ) If anyone can supply dimensions for the cab and its over hang and/or photos detail photographs of the machine or even have a decent brochure that shows some of this for sale (not had luck on ebay, seem to buy the crapo ones) that would be great. Hopefully found a manual now (fingers crossed)

  12. My favourite pictures of the larger modern machinery in motion
  13. Well I've scaled it from i885xlmans info and its spot on for a 885xl (within 2mm scale wise) and a bit small to be a 856xl, so an 885xl it will be. thanks all, more pictures once it is finished.

  18. Had a look at all of your suggestions (this site was useful http://www.ftmta.ie/search.asp ) Alfa Laval - couldn't find enough info Ipsam - Not going to do a galvanised tanker Pichon - Too french Connor - Maybe, but its a bit JD http://www.cliveprattgarages.com/slurytanker.php Arrow - NC - just don't like the look of them Shortlisted to; Tanco, Fraser, Marshall with Malgar as favourite I think the choice will come down to availible paint colours. Any idea the capacity of the tank? (Britains Lorry Milk tanker) Thanks for all pics and ideas
  19. But is one of these more suitable (and whats the difference?) Anyone got any key dimensions
  20. Major work done: Scratch built arches, fitment of JD axle (fits really will, require two holes in casting but is perfect, cab roof shorted and reversed, front of cab ground off, new grill, cab supports removed, rear supports moved to become centre ones Was based on this, but wondering if dimensions are right?
