  1. Yeah, very hot and bright, annoying because with the ground so bright the camera can't cope and washes out the skys I've only seen one tractor locally with a front linkage and that was a new fendt with new pottinger + mower, after finding the fendt dealer down the lanes I suspect this was a demo anyway....front linkages just don't seem that popular, no idea why
  2. Went for a cycle done the lanes today, hoped I'd see something...just a shame it was this JD's are hard to photograph Thankful for telescopic zoom Might go back tomorrow incase it isn't the claas picking it up

was the 6.354 110hp at pto or crank? I should have added to my figure of 101 a "B" to the HP as thats what it produced at the PTO, 120 at the crank

From what i remember from Stuart Gibbard's book (and there are a few on this forum who will be in a much better posistion to answer this) Muir Hill was primarily a construction firm and a lot of these machines got used in quarries, pipe laying, ditching, building motorways etc pulling scrapers, Shawne Poole trailers and pipe trailers. I've no idea what proportion were used in farming versus construction, but they were also serious farm tractors of their time.

101hp I think (think its a 121), but it depends which engine was fitted. Its not the horses though...its the way it puts them down
  9. Whoever moved this here...please remember the rules: And when I say Ertl won't be making this, that was the truth.
  10. Ertl won't, Norscot might

  12. Thats a bargin....make some money flogging small pots of green on ebay
  13. Waterslide stuff, seethru or white backed is availible on ebay Can't fault CorelDraw, it make things much easier, photoshop will also do the job but I find it less easy to do. Avoid MS Paint, its just a world of pain and looks crap even if you do it properly, not to mention problems with the sizes.
  14. Used a wrench where a gnat's wanger sized spanner would have done to tighten the bleed nipple on my mountain bike's front disc brake - sheared the thing clean of, all the oil came out of the caliper, ?80 down the drain
  15. My opinion is that the cultivators are too substantial to represent the drill above. I think though that a prefectly acceptable model could be made from them, but something a bit more slim would look better, like those used on the britains accord drill or siku drill power harrow combination??? Maybe loose the rear set of chisels on what you already have? maybe its just my preference......good luck with it anyway!
  16. Ah, i had no idea it'd already been done! I guess if I had one of those (never seen one though) I wouldn't need to make one Any pics of one?

I'd give it a good home
  18. nah sorry guys, this ones going to have to wait....its something I still want to do, but I don't have enough infomation on the tractor to do it, the prototype was just messing and done by eye, if I'm going to spend the time to do it properly I'd want to be building it right, so until I get hold of techie drawings or get to see one in the flesh and photograph/measure the thing to kingdom come, I'm going to leave it. In the meantime, hopefully someone will produce a white metal kit of it!
  19. Usually hydro arent they...well i can't see where the drive would go
  20. I'm Ihatepoundland, but I doubt you'll see me on there...the charms of ebay have worn thin
  21. Afraid not It was not as accurate as i would have liked....one day many years away I will get around to doing one properly and totally scratch build it
  22. BUMP Ignoring the requests, I'd still be interested in the answer to TOG questions
