  2. very nice was it much of a job doing right hand drive conversion?
  3. i am not going to name names , suffice to say in the distant past i have had another conversion from this builder and was bitterly disappointed with the finished product . it ended up in my then young nephews sandpit with his other toys!
  4. on farm i grwe up on they had pair of roadless 120 tractors fitted with them.
  5. some duncan quiet safety cabs fitted to roadless tractors did have thin auxiliary fuel tanks built into the mudguards for extra fuel capacity. are they same shape and size as muguard/side of cab if yes thats what they are suppose to be!. technically the quiet version of duncan cab had dashboard bulkhead covering the tractors dashboard and had rear enclosure behind seat like ford 7000 and opening window above. these cabs depict basic /standard duncan safety cabs so puzzled why sent out with auxiliary fuel tanks.
  6. 7810 one of the best selling tractors ford ever made we couldnt get enough of them we had over flowing order books, closely followed by 8210 force 111,golden years before porous blocks started to happen big time.
  7. at least youll be eating its the desserts you want to be worried about!
  8. the interior cab picture on page one shows interior of 8210 force 111 with electrolink hydraulics and electrolink hydraulic digital display console. 7810 only had quadrant.regards nick

i suspect change of supplier for hydraulic components- guessing problem is known but involves valve block replacement as other auxiliary valves not interchangeable. thus giving them major expense. ive worked as service engineer for a manufacturer that produces both ag and construction machines i bet if you had been a construction customer you would have received more help. try contacting ivor binns at manitou.

yes these are pe loaded relef valves but the inner spool land of certain makes at high temperatures get sticky and seize and do not crack off venting the circuit. they are generally set higher than main relief valve so if pump is kept pumping with a spool open to a circuit the pressure in the ram can get very high. if auxulkiary relief valve is stuck and then doesnt lift along comes problems. the valves are set that way to enable tear out so rams dont fold and let go in work. i wont name names for obvious reasons but harsco valves are generally bullet proof.

faulty auxiliary relief valve will notcrack and release pressure if they are stuck, believe it or not ram seals will take enormous pressures i have seem plenty of bent rams and damaged rams due to faulty valves being set too high or jammed. tipping links for tipping and crowding carriages snapped like carrots!.

these machines have main hydraulic relief vave to protect hydraulic pump and valve block, each slice or bank on spool block has auxiliary releif valve to protect each circuit. it does not sound like a main pump releif valve problem but auxiliary relief valve faults on affected circuits. if she has always had exceptional tear out and other performance perhaps its been due to high settings and with wear taken place high pressures have been achieved. auxiliary relief valves suppose to protect rams and linkages. so i guess if she had better than average performance these might be the culprit!. was she ex demostrator .
  13. echo your comments graham, thats the good thing in this hobby sharing with each other.
  14. i spotted a couple of old birds wearing outrageous panto clothing on here do you reckon they were virgins .

  17. that 8210 is absolutely gorgeous, not sure 7710 has correct bonnet for the super q cab as they were on force 2 tractors. that aside it is still a very well put together model with credit to the builder.
