  1. are bringing anymore of those universal hobbies conversions xerion etc like you brought last time
  2. the ones i like best when they wrap a chain around them and drtive off , damaging all the mounting and cables and you then going one stage further and then destroying the camera. one was done up by peterborough .
  3. slightly different observation - no critism meant or implied in any way. the 3140 opu model excellent conversion/build should cab interior be black not biege or brown like later sg2 cab tractors. keep up the excelllent work.
  4. been riding shotgun with my mate today on his 8530, first with vaderstad topdown 500 and later vaderstad 800 drill. auto steer.autopower , implement management , i-tec pro for headland steering absolutely amazing.
  5. jd 7930 and vaddy top down- what a brilliant piece of kit that topdown
  6. excuses excuses if gavers can manage to do pictures aswell as work :D :D seriously glad you had great time
  7. with the recent promotion of ertl john deere precision classic 84/8530 tractors any body heard if there is going to be a new john deere model tractor they are launching new tractors in the states -perhaps europe at agritechnica
  8. snap same question for ropa beet harvester
  9. we had a set on a diesel 35x i believe they came from sparex or lawrence edwards in the sixties and fitted to meet farm safety /guarding regulations. many fergusons were fitted with mudguard extensions at the front of rear mudguards down to the foot boards. it looks like this tractor has them too -unless factory fitted .
  10. some early AP cabbed and LP cabbed tractors with column change gear shift had black podding/cladding in the cabs.
  11. trailed versions were cock pheasants i seem to remember them with tines for rowing up windrows. there were two versions of trailed machines ,first version could handle two 5ft swaths and the bigger version two 6ft swaths-i have brochures for them both.remember loads of them in my youth. nicholsons robin hood tedders had swathing doors as did bamfords big wuffler which looked like lely cock pheasant and handled two 5ft swaths- of course the original wuffler was a one row machine with swath doors. nigel how effective at picking up was the vicon fan-ted .
  12. dave towse does one of these in johnsons colours i believe, did ransomes take over building them from johnsons seem to remember some badged as ransomes-johnsons.
  13. i have seen ford force 5000 with fieco cabs having s-o-s boxes , Blenhiem estates oxon use to run them, one of them even had m&w (opico) turbo. they also ran turbo standard 5000 tractors.
  14. try garford farm machinery they sell double suction mounting plates for control boxes
  15. are these all going into production?
  16. db sprayerts were sams sprayers first built by hubert sands a spraying contractor that put them into production, knights built some ih forward control sprayers there were others using ih cannot think of them at the moment.
  17. that looks like it has the original 6600 exhaust fitted turned around ,with narrow catwalk perhaps that fitted direct on exhaust manifold. these cabs sat right back to the radiator.
  18. not that it helps much but you can just see top of exhaust pipe on picture looking through back of cab in picture extremely rusty!
  19. ref exhaust mate i reckon cat walk behind cab needs to be a bir narrower i believe the exhaust came straight up from its original position without bends or elbows. remember the exhaust was near the front of the bonnet not where britains put it. i believe the first machine was farm built on a ford 5000 , unsure if they were manufactured elsewhere or farm produced machines .the original farm built had very square cab, as already mentioned some cabs were more rounded on the corners. be nice if anyone knows anymore or correct any of my recollections if wrong.have in the past rebuilt some of these using ford q cab and county high lift kits like knights sprayers used.look forward to seeing this as it progresses.
  20. the steps up the righthandside in the real picture are for refuelling the moved fuel tank and servicing the air filter also moved.
