  1. well i do declare , that has turned out very well chap :) those deeres have lots to offer in the way of conversion dont they, may even buy one my self
  2. you're a cheeky little scamp arnt you :D are the doors going to be two peice sean ?
  3. ah , still get out around goodleigh & umberleigh way sometimes , been ages since i went through crediton though, still do a few round south molton but not many , artics too big for the farms , still have a regular run from s.molten down through the mole valley & on the other side oif the road , up to ilfracombe & paracombe
  4. darn you got good eyesight tris, i didnt even notice he's managed to get the 'pull to stop' actually working as well
  5. under no circumstances are you allowed to put it on the shelf unless you chock the wheels mr pullen :D matter of fact you are not allowed to sleep untill it's finished by order of massey massive HQ
  6. love trimming , just dissapear for days at a time , dont get hassled ! RE guards , see more people are useing large perspex sheets instead of mesh now but on the 698 698T i used , we took one of the screws out of the window hinge , & made up a wiper on a threaded bar bent over on the inside , so if it rained you could just turn the bar & wipe it manually from the inside looked a bit strange but it worked , also bolted a bit of box section to the mudguard to the top of the cab which had hinges on the mesh frame so the frame wasnt bolted to the tractor, just wish that particular trimmer had the electric controls
  7. the only time i see them mate , is usually on the die hard massey farms, but most have jcb or manatou, a few NH & merlo about , but still rare to see the massey handlers
  8. you need to apply for a provisional lisence before you go on any test rich. where abouts are you operating luke as will keep an eye out for you on me travels although , unlike the 8wheeler i don't get up around exmoor much with the artic
  9. star turn you got there sascha very much worth the time spent on it got to be quote of the year , you ok there tim :D :D i really cant stop laughing now :D :D :D
  10. good to see a model version like that & seans , as i see very few about on farms every so often i find one lurking but quite rare
  11. looks lots better sean with the cab pillars back further , & yes yer right allis , the cabs were a sort of onesize fits all , steady on there cerin, lets give him a chance to finish it before he wrecks it :D
  12. i hope not sean , i didn't say anything before as i wasnt sure , but i saw a 135 yesterday at Ermington with original square fenders & they sat a good 2-3 inches higher than the bonnet line
  13. thanks for those mark, very interesting mate will have to format them to see if they can be loaded onto the disc i have :)
  14. does this forager come with both headers or like the JD one , got to buy two machines ? would rather have the grass header than the maize one
  15. few years back, three local farms (one fammily three farms) came under the management of one person , (son of one of the farmers & nephew of the others) & within a month the mixed fleet of MF, ford , case ih, was all traded in for valmet, been valmet/valtra ever since , swears by them, prime mover to stock mans loader all valmet/ valtra now , was all supplied by G Vowles , but dont know who deals them here locally now ?
  16. the sisu engine , much like the VME engines are pretty much bullet proof , got to have a real serious problem for it to fail, the more grief it gets the better it goes
  17. shame you didn't come to an agreement a while back , you would have had the green & blue looking well tidy , . got to admit the farms in a nice place , & all that clean concrete yard a delivery drivers dream
  18. well thanks a lot for that gav , you really know how to depress a chap, brilliant pics of all that machinery, & now i'm starting to itch > :D :D shame , if the money could match what i was on now & my back was up to it , i'd be applying for every tractor job in the area :)
  19. here's the 8100 i used to drive . never driven one before this , was soon converted, first job was to plough in a field of slurry after a lagoon burst , ploughing alongside a fully weighted up massey 3095 with a 4 f rev ransomes tsr300, slipping all over the place , the vomit on the other hand had no weights on & pulling a kuhn 4 f rev HC plough, no probs, would have gone for the 5furrow but the backend wasn't man enough to lift the 5HC, too heavy , very good ploughing tractor , great foraging tractor, had the delta shift box on this one , comfortable to drive with loads of room in the cab for the dog to run around in wasnt overkeen on buckracking with it though , great tractor for it , but i little too short in the wheelbase for my likeing for steep silage faces, bum clenching stuff at times
  20. looked at a dragline /stripmine site , thanks to F-P got some awsome pics of some huge machines , still cant find decent pics of the 'ACE OF SPADES'
  21. well i have the plastic 3070 & the metal 3070 but on the end of the box it does say massey ferguson 3050 /3070
  22. think yer about right mate , the 135 didn't have such a sharp rake to the windscreen as the bigger tractors as i remember, but the rear pillars were sat a little further back onto the slope of the rear mudguard not sat on the top
  23. unfortunately they dont mate , i had a chat with a contractor /farmer about a job to get me back into it but when we started talking money i would be nearly 7k per year down i what i get now , love the work or not, i cant take that much of a pay cut
  24. so what was the steal for you then john as you were looking at others wern't you ?
