as far as i know mart , if the datatronic is stuffed , it won't make any difference to the performance of the tractor itself , & 9 times out of 10 it just needs a replacement circuit board , & unlike 10 - 15 years ago it shouldn't be that expensive to replace.if you find that the hydraulics dont work one day , there's a reset button under the the cab on the n/s , thats not well known & have known many people waiting for someone to turn up just to press this magic button ! if the gear sticks feel very slack, look under the cab to the linkage & you'll see two square headed bolts that hold the sticks in place , these have tapered ends , a 10mm spanner , will get them out & if not too worn , bit of locktite will solve that problem if yer hydraulics , pto cut out & 4wd gets permanently engaged , a good whack with a 10 lb hammer on the side of the computer box (open o/s door & hit botton of cab )will solve the problem till it's sorted ! :D :D you shouldn't have this problem at this age though , (the one i drove was a very early model) \ quite honest mart the above happend with one tractor i drove , all the others were trouble free & performed well . :)

go for the autotronic mart , , i'd be surprised if you'd ever have the need for datatronic as this really comes into it'self when using sprayers , drills . & any other precision implements , thats why there are more datatronic tractors in the arable areas , than down here in the predomitaly dairy area. datatronic basically gives you information on hectares covered , fuel used , set wheelslip , etc,etc all handy stuff but not really of any use for the applications you want , of all the datatronic tractors i've driven , i've never felt the need to use it

TM810 resin 3000series cab
MJB1 replied to MJB1's topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
how about casting a new bonnet for the 6180 chassis ,so's a 3080 /90 is achieveable ? soon going to have andy with a post for , "MEETING WITH SEAN" armed with a list of 'please can you make' from everyone here :D -
you have connected the pipes into the spools on the tractor haven't you ?
-
darn the boy done good again ! looks very well sean , but do you think the tipping ram is to close to the back of the trailer ? not much in the way of leverage to lift all the weight infront of it . , matter of fact it's rubbish , send it to me for dismantling , & build yerself another :D
-
i would expect that it would be 40k mart as 40k was the 'in thing' to have , i don't know of many fitted with 30 in this area , if its possible go for the 16 speed , not the 32 , but eitherway , they're a good old bus

TM810 resin 3000series cab
MJB1 replied to MJB1's topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
really depends on what people want sean ,i would expect that many people will be looking to just replace the complete 2000series cab as a straight swap so a one peice in my view would be good sean, if people are brave enough to want to fit it to a UH chassis , then they'd be brave enough to want to cut it to fit anyway . in doing this sean yer giving people the chance to have something britains didn't offer anyway -
TM810 resin 3000series cab
MJB1 replied to MJB1's topic in Latest Tractor Conversions & Scratch Builds
as it looks so far , just have the rear windows & the fuel tank to fit, & find some steps , the glass has been cut from a CD case m not the tidyest convo , but not many of mine are , but if i can get a reasonable result with it , seans going to be onto a good thing ! sean is the first to admit that the cast for this cab isn't brilliant , a few air bubbles , a rear work lamp & n/s door is a bit messey , but all can be put right i daresay , but then , this cab has also been sat on by the dog twice , breaking the cab pillars ! my efforts are messy but then i'm trying to recreate a tractor thats over 15 yrs old anyway :D -

seans floorpan is molded as a direct copy to the ROS original so the cast needed to be altered to sit right on the 26 base -
been trying out something for sean over the last week or so & here are some of the results of his resin cast cab & floorpan for an MF 3600series . Unlike sean i have cheated somewhat , bu using the old floorpan as a base for the resin floorpan ,which for me makes it easier to mount onto the chassis , , sean may well try to cast this as part of the next floorpan for a straight swap onto an existing britains 26 / 36 chassis cutting the 26 floorpan down ready for use

try it you might like it , if it works out , you may well be surprised by what other brands have to offer, if you live in a predominately ford area the residual prices may be quite high for a while , but you'd have dealer availability to you advantage , still recon the 956 CASE IH is worth looking at, no electrics & a bomb proof engine

Siku Fendt 936 (not the black beauty)
MJB1 replied to JohnDeerePower's topic in Rate and Review Your Models
same for me , 8/10 but i can live with it may try to do what bampse did & get a rivit head to replace it to use as gps still better than a ford , the knobs usually sat in the cab :D -
try some tims floatation trailer wheels sean they'd look a treat on that :) :)
-
really good to see the older girls cutting it with the best nowadays , , good simple uncomlicated machines . would be interesting to know the combined hours they've clocked up & apart from a tyre change , & treated well ,good for another ten years i expect ! great pic stan thanks
