  1. yup , see to have gone OT here me thinks
  2. thinking about it mark , maybe the one i saw at ron greets was originally fitted with a rigid clad ? after all it's the same frame . just because it had a flexi cab roof , doesn't mean it's original
  3. i used to drive everything mate , more often than not dibs was out spraying , so i'd end up doing the foraging with either the valmet or the massey other than that i was always on the pit with the 804 , one of the best tractors i've ever used on pit with front mounted buckrake , mind you good job i carried me tool box around with me as it was used more than i would have liked ;D i used to like silage at mike's he's so laid back it's a wonder he doesn't fall asleep , well that & his missus used to come out with chilled prawn cocktail sarnies for dinner & a few cans of ale ..................oh yeah & loads of ice lollies ..........happy days he does his own silage now though doesn't he ? i thought i saw the deere on an old single chop blower &towed trailer , has the other little inter gone now then ?
  4. cracking progress nick , she's goignt o be a great drive when you got her back together , lets just hope you don't have lots of handy looking parts left over after the rebuild
  5. have you any pics of how it was steve ?
  6. just wondering if the door alone might be from a 1200 as the red looks to be more faded than the rest , not just the bonnet , but did the 1200 have a MASSEY FERGUSON decal ahead of the door ?
  7. so now then mark all you have to do now is find a yellow clad flexi cab
  8. just a bit ! an out standing build hope you dont mind but i've resized them for people to see, especially for those either on dial up or have slow broadband

  18. i thought the 420 was a 4wd version of the 410 nice pictures chap, really liked the 699's
  19. the deere looks to have come up well stephen , it may well be worth more than what you bought it for now , so i suggest trading it in for a red one again
  20. Well the majority of fields i've seen being cut makes me wonder if it's really worth it ? i've seen acres of it knocked down , but with little to no growth worth speaking of, like ricky said grass clippings. You know when it's bad when you see the rows being raked on first cut , but one reason for this is some farmers dont want the headache with a repeat of last winter & dwindling forage supplies & are taking an early cut to get extra maize ground ploughed & drilled , maize seed sales have risen judjing by what some of our bag drivers have been saying as they've been delivering more this year than last
  21. now it's a year on & thought i'd give an update on the legend . as shown in my 168 topic i have started harrowing at the croft & again decided to persuade bill to get in on the action with the legend & a borrowed ring roller to firm the harrowing & levelling that was needed due to the bad paunching the horses had left from the winter, he even wore his new landlegend overalls for the occasion that we had made for his birthday, good colour match as well so just to keep up todate the legend now shows 12 hours on the clock , but bear in mind it turned up with 3 already on it , so that has worked out to approx .75 hrs per month bilmey even marks little 410 didn't get that much action ;D with any luck the next installment will be dung spreading
  22. oops forgot about this topic well all that was about the start of july last year , but a month later i persuaded bill that maybe the legend might do with a bit of running in , especially a bit of gear chage action as it was a bit stiff & to get bill aquainted with the controls, even i got to have a go so out came the chain harrows to let the legend stretch it's legs
  23. making a tidy job of that mate :)
  24. love to get out & about doing something with it bill
